They reduced the rewards for this by a lot. 90% reduction. A chest will sell only for 200 gold at grade 5 flag and grade 5 community weekend bonus

when i was selling the loot to reapers instead of athena it was good but when we sold it to athena it was still reduced. conclusion sell to reapers and see if it still works

Just did this today for an hour, got 8 athena levels, and about 800k gold. Took me and a crewmate 15 minutes to unload and sell it all. It works, but whatever you do.. DO NOT attack or kill any of the phantoms at the fort you dove to and are collecting the loot from. Also, you need to complete the fort before selling

they nerfed it REALLY bad, its basically uselees now 1 hour of farming with 20 stacks and you get 120k and max of 1 level

@ergY It's very simple. The servers keep a record of everything you do. Most online games do. Whether or not they care to act on it is one thing. Exploits like this, Rare certainly cares about. The Item Duping bug with storage crates would get you banned if you used it for fish selling, but not if you used it for wraith ball duping. (Weird that they care more about one than the other if you ask me.) And they reset levels of the guild hourglass exploiters(supposedly), and even banned some of them(supposedly). They said they did, but I personally know people who did it who never saw any sort of punishment, even when they said they did. They know who does what and when. It's a question of if they care to act on it or not. They monitor everything and they choose who stays and who doesn't. We don't own the game. We have a license to access the game, that they can revoke at any time for any reason. Almost every single game is like this. If it has online functionality, it most likely keeps track of every single thing you do in the game serverside. Using any exploit puts you at serious risk of being banned, if you actually care about your account. Exploiting is for cheaters and scumbags. Just enjoy the game the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Nobody cares if you cheated your way to leveling up, you literally robbed yourself of the experience and accomplishment of doing it yourself. This is why when the game launched, and the guy Prodigy was the first to hit Pirate Legend, twitter went crazy with #NotMyPirateLegend because the guy had viewers farm and stack ships of loot for him, and joined their session to sell it. He didn't earn it. He cheesed it. He exploited the system. And he ironically almost lost the race to become the first to multiple people, myself included, who all did it 100% legitimately. So he clearly didn't know how to farm levels. And yet, this has almost become the norm in SoT these days. The concept of "Let's farm everything in the game the fastest that we possibly can so we have literally no reason to play" is mind boggling to me. Just play the game. You're only robbing yourself of the fun and enjoyment of actually doing it yourself. Now will Rare ban for this? Obviously not if you didn't get banned. But they cared enough to fix it and screw over every Athena player by drastically reducing the value of items awarded through doing these forts. So to you and every other person who did it, thanks for that. On a personal note, I don't care. Do whatever you want. If you get banned it's on you. Athena fanboys are carebear cucks anyway.

@@cynergysot I personally don't like exploit as it ruins the progression especially if it make so people get head start of others. I seen exploits that let you turn your ship faster in HG and it does ruin the game a bit honestly. not as bad as cheaters but still not something I personally would do.

I personally think this exploit ain't a big deal, its not like the hourglass one that could be classed as cheating as it gives you a strategic advantage over your enemy, but this is just gold, which is worthless lets be fair and a few extra levels of rep. If a guy is wearing a D.A jacket cause he cheesed a few extra coins, it makes him no better at the game, technically it is some form of cheating but it's harmless and doesn't ruin anyones play session. I respect your honest opinion. Maybe videos like this (not mine I'm a small channel) rare see them and get their arses into gear to correct them :)
