the community is actually great, but it IS an open world PVP pirate game, so you should expect literally everyone to be hostile :)

Three sheets to the wind means having no control over yourself. In ship talk, a sheet is the rope used to position the sails to catch the wind. "To the wind" means you've let go of it in a gail and it's flapping around out of reach... and three is all of them.

Google says this: "The sheet is the line that controls the sails on a ship. If the line is not secured, the sail flops in thewind, and the ship loses headway and control. If all three sails are loose, the ship is out of control." I thought it might've meant that if you have full sails at a cross wind it tends to tilt the ship to one side, so you know when people are really drunk they loose equilibrium and tend to lean one way.
