God i remember just being about 20 years old, about ten years ago, just so strung out on heroin, my girlfriend at the time had just moved in with me at my parents house. I was just so in love and so lost. Trying to fix my internal problems with external things. My best friene had this white cassette tape. This dude Kevin Greenspan had a little indie music label and he was making tapes of the Untitled album on side 1 and sleeplessness on side 2. That tape got played on repeat on this shitty little boom box i had. It was always playing. We would fall asleep holding eachother every night listening to it. It was always playing. Such melancholy. I'd get high to it. Get sad to it. Get happy to it. Get lost in it.
