This method really does work! I had a really bad hypertrophic scar on my cartilage piercing and this has saved my life! I usually do this and keep it on my piercing over night, wash it off in the shower with warm water, and then put a bit of tea tree oil on it. I had been doing just tea tree oil for almost two weeks and I wasn't seeing any results, but I've been doing this for about 3 days and my bump is already almost gone!

Thanks for the tutorial. It helped reduce the size of my "keloid" (probably not the right term). But what I found that helped more than anything was changing out my nose ring from the original one that I got when I first got pierced to a 14K gold nose ring. Seriously, the bump disappeared almost over night. Guess I should have known, since cheap earrings sometimes make my ears itch and peel. Glad I was able to remedy the problem and didn't have to take out my nose ring :-)

ok. so i have a double helix piercing and had a lot of troubles with it (allergy to first jewelry, accidentally sleeping on it, etc) and developed a keloid on the front AND back of it. it was gross lol and i did sea salt soaks for so long and even googled different "tips and tricks" to get rid of it but it never worked. it was like there was a keloid and then it would leave a scab, and then the scab would fall off right before it was fully healed and then it would scab again and it kept repeating. this method is so easy and is similar to a sea salt soak so i dont even have to buy anything else or do anything too different, and it works! im shocked?! like this is my third day doing this and my piercings are already looking so much better! i actually like this method better than the soak because i dont need a cup and i dont have to tilt my head over it for 10 minutes hahah like im legit sitting on my bed with this paste on my piercings lollll
@aliciaphoebe35504 жыл бұрын
@SunsetCurve95 about 5 days i think- it's a lot more concentrated than the sea salt soaks so it worked a lot faster and i didn't want to dry up the area too much. whenever it started flaring up again if i hit it or smth i would do it once and that helped a lot too

I actually suggest to people viewing this video to either use sterile water that you can purchase online, or to boil tap water for about 5 minutes, then let it cool down until it's warm and a safe temperature to use on piercing. Regular tap water or even bottled or distilled water is NOT the same as sterile. So don't waste your money thinking you can use this instead because again, it's not sterile. Water that is not sterilized can have a lot of different bacterias and other bad stuff that is just not good to use on healing piercings, especially when you're dealing with tap water, because depending on where you live, tap water can be even more harmful in different areas. Just a tip, always better to be safe than sorry.

This is much gentler than the aspirin paste we used to use forever ago. I’m here because my piercer recommended salt paste and I’d never heard of it before, so this is pretty cool.

To people with swollen piercing, the person that pierced my nose told me to take 3 or 4, 200 mg ibuprofen in the morning/ 2/200mg in the afternoon/ 3 or 4 /200mg at night for about a month then after that month take 3 or 4/200mg morning and 3 or 4/200mg every night,it is suppose to help with the swelling! You can stop doing it after it heals but do it just so it doesn’t swell up so much and sink into ur skin!

I love this method, I prefer to mix 1 tablet of aspirin, fine sea salt, hot water and a drop of tea tree oil. It really does work great!

Sahen you put the solution on it do you feel a little pain in or around where the bump is? Cos I just tried it I I feel little pain on the bump so I guess it's going to work.
@sc_arriola3828 жыл бұрын
in the video you suggestion the asprin but said you never tried it- in case anyone is wondering about it it does work i used that method for my tragus keloid and my keloid was a lot bigger than yours. for that method i made a paste with the asprin and put it on my keloid till it dried up and could flake off my ear. then i would do a sea soak with warm water as warm as i could stand immediately after.

@amandalee19603 жыл бұрын
@@daria8453 I had mine for about 5-6 months, but I also got mine done really close to summer where I was in and out of the pool all the time so I’m sure that did not help it with the healing. The salt soaks really helped though!

Hi, Thanks for sharing those tips. Unfortunately I'm having a bump on my helix cartilage piercing and it's pretty hard too. I got the piercing for almost 3 months now and the bump only appeared about a month ago. I've been diligently doing sea salt soaks, tea tree oil and anti bacterial spray now for 2 weeks but it doesn't seem to be going away. In fact it seems hardened and I'm worried that it'll be permanent. Any other ideas on how to get rid of it? Do you think the paste might help? :(
