As part of a 4 week long dive trip to the Banda Sea & Raja Ampat, Indonesia, I had the opportunity to spend a whole day diving with these beautiful (but potentially deadly) olive sea snakes. They grow up to 2m long and are highly venomous, with their bite lethal to humans. Fortunately they are not aggressive, although curious and will swim up to and around divers. It was mesmerising to watch them elegantly glide through the water. It soon became apparent that the only danger they possessed was their ability to distract you from monitoring your air consumption (the music was especially chosen to reflect this)!!!
