@@iamjohnrobotThe practical application of these theories don't matter. Why do we seek knowledge in the first place? We are curious creatures capable of dreaming up wild and impossible things. How many people do you think must have dreamed of flying in human history? Something so casual these days that we take it for granted, and I'm not just talking about airplanes, but wingsuits, jets, spacecrafts... How many people in human history have looked up at the moon as this impossibly far object? A place where humans have physically gone. We have sent a device beyond the solar system, our tendrils lengthen. Why shouldn't we dream of impossible things and see if there's any way it holds water, because on the journey you may just find better ideas - through exploring the limitations of imagination. Science is the pursuit of knowledge, the foundational truths to our existence are so mysterious and unknowable that we have no choice BUT to dream up imaginative possibilities. Where is your sense of romance?

I haven't watched Multiverse yet but my man SEA always knocks Cosmos content straight out the park! His tour of Triangulum and Andromeda galaxies are priceless gifts to KZbin that have no parallel on the Channel by any Creator! That is what makes this channel so special he covers the Space topics that get the views and likes by casuals and hard core Space tubers , but he's also not afraid to take a risk and do a full length Triangulum galaxy video that might not be as attractive as a video on the largest Stars , Super Massive Black holes or Super Voids. I'm gonna shut up and watch this video now , but I just wanted to show some love first, I'm not rich but I try to leave a tip when I can cause his channel has help turn a Curiosity into an Obsession to learn as much as I possibly can about the Cosmos! My own completely unscientific opinion is the level 2 black hole birthing universes theory makes the most sense. Like zooming in on a fractal image that goes on infinitely, each universe births an infinite number of other universes, and each of those birth an infinite number of universes, and on and on. Mathematically we have the unobserved white hole, and while they should be as common as black holes, maybe they are but we just can't see the other side of the Penrose diagram except for our own big bang. I know it seems too "neat" but something about it just makes perfect sense to me.

I remember learning science in school in the early 90s & they would talk about the potential of white holes. Like you say, it just makes logical sense, not in a reproductive/life way but in the way that - this compressed matter has to go somewhere. the Big Bang was an explosion of compressed matter... Nah… it’s only one. But here’s the biggest question; WHAT does our universe, or multiverses (if one believes there are many) reside WITHIN? Everything is typically contained within something (earth is contained within the solar system, the solar system within the Milky Way, the Milky Way within galaxy clusters, galaxy clusters within dark matter, dark matter within the universe, etc)… but what is the universe contained within? It started somewhere but when it started what was that point of origin contained within? This is the one question that absolutely bothers me to no end and keeps me awake at night. I can deal with tornadoes, white shark attacks, bears breaking into my home for pop tarts left out on the kitchen table by my 8 year old nephew when they sleep over… but I can NOT deal with the fact we are all just floating along in a rapidly expanding universe that ends nowhere… where does space begin / end? If you think this through, it will keep you up too. 😅

I personally like Lee Smolin’s take on the multiverse. The idea is really elegant to me. Black holes birth new universes, and the universes that are better at forming black holes (and stars, matter, life etc) are naturally selected for. It does explain why the constants of the universe are “just right” for the formation of life.

While this video explores the fascinating ideas of a multiverse and the infinity of the universe, it also points out that the cosmology community is still quite cautious about embracing an unbounded cosmos. This makes me wonder, are we being overly cautious in embracing new discoveries, or are scientists genuinely trying to protect established theories? Where should we draw the line between open-minded science and the necessary caution to avoid venturing too far into baseless speculation?

The problem is that nobody has 'discovered' anything. Other than the fact the observable universe is expanding at an accelerating rate, anyway. There is therefore nothing to 'embrace' beyond speculation which, while admittedly usually the offspring of some fascinating math rather being plucked out of thin air, remains doggedly unfalsifiable and hence not science. In reality, there is little scientists like more than upending the established order as all of a sudden there is a vast new territory to get published in, but one thing they DO like more is not making fools of themselves. Science is and must be conservative although, granted, that has been taken rather too far on occasion. It's worthy of note that one thing some scientists do understand is what sells popular science books and makes interesting 'documentaries', although such books can scratch the itch to get some interesting stuff 'out there' without it (usually) doing anything to damage their reputation with their peers.

I admit I lack a PhD to justify my research as credentialed work, but I've given this thousands of hours of thought, research, and writings.

For example if my grandfather meets my grandmother at a fair, what if in another universe he doesn't end up at the fair and they never get together. Then my whole family will cease to exist. And you can go back years with different decisions. Therefore every multiverse has different people on those words that we don't know.

There’s a lot of stuff that I know so I’m gonna share it with you so basically, I think nothing is just another way to say air cause if you show me an empty box sure you might think it’s empty and there’s nothing inside. Actually there’s tons of particles air, all kinds of stuff in there it’s filled to the brim. And also the multi-verse, which is basically Adams never touch you just think they do if everyone stopped looking at the world, our world would not exist. The world only exists when it’s being observed. Btw observed. Means looking at it and if you don’t believe that, how would anyone ever know because you can’t see the world that’s the saying if a tree falls in the woods did that tree ever make a noise? No one knows the answer because no one was there to hear it fall and also the multi-verse, and also mean there was another world where I chose not to type this. There could be another world where you didn’t make this video. There could be another world where i didn’t play Roblox that’s the multi-verse. My grandfather was a theoretical physicist who thought string theory and he was a perponate of the holographic theory. He always said there's only so much matter in the universe and as Carl Sagan said , we are made of star stuff, so the consciousness of the universe is in us, therefore the consciousness that you are will never go away and will always come back as it's part of the multiverse. He stated that possibly that is what deja Vu is, the two membranes of the multiverse that your consciousness lives in, sometimes bump into one another, that is why you have the feeling that you have been to a certain location or place in your lifetime in the plane of multiverses.
