➡️ About My Boats: The Hallberg - Rassy 312 was built for fifteen years between 1979 and 1993. Totally 690 boats were built during this time period. The HR 312 was a very popular model. Until 1986 the Hallberg - Rassy 312 Mark I was built, with the portlights in the blue stripe in the hull and with or without quarter berth. Models without quarter berth had an extra cockpit locker on starboard.

It was fun in the beginning to see a little bit of your town....also, the snow effect gave it a real seasonal feel (except maybe when it was bright blue sky). But that is just quibbling. One question I had while watching the platform was with the angle braces--are they open or closed top and bottom for drainage? Have a great holiday and more boat work fun in the New Year!

Hei Gabriele, i got a question. As i understand, your plan with this HR is to sail the world. Are you planning to install windvane or hydrovane to the stern of the boat ? If yes, then how do you attach it after the installation of bathing platform. If no, then how to you plan to steer during longer passages, with electric autopilot ?

@@sea4see Hei, thank you for your answer! As i am currently in process of installing windvane, then i had same problem, i wanted both: windvane and bathing platform. I suggested same solution to windvane maker but he warned me against it, if windvane is installed to either port, then you might have problems, when you are healed over to the other side, this blade, that goes into the water, rises out of the water and you might lose control. Maybe someone who has this setup, can comment ? It seems, that it is less of a problem with hydrovane where blade does not move from side to side, but more of a problem with windvane, where bottom blade will act like pendulum and can rise out of the water.

There are some nice setup on hydrovane and lot of people use on the side... but at the and I can install it central I will see.. got to the website of hydrovane and check the photos!!!
