I will definitely buy a second one, one for mechanical media and biological media. Good idea

Why two vs getting a 75? Just curious
@Eclectic-Human Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the excellent question. My daughter gave me a 35 before I started the 20 long again. When I shut down my 30 breeder all the fish went in the 20 long. I got another tidal 35 because I wasn't happy with the flow and was concerned with the overstocking, so the second one was added to balance the flow, because of the length of the tank (1 x 100watt heater), avoiding dead zones. The overstocking wasn't severe and I didn't want to overwhelm some of the fish with a lot of current. these two were the perfect solution. I have to add the tank is in my living room and they are both completely silent. Never considered a 75, redundancy is always good too. Also no intake stem was a plus in my setup.

What is the benefit/purpose of the extra foam on the top?
@Eclectic-Human Жыл бұрын
Like I say in the video it covers/filters the bypass/overflow😉

@@Eclectic-Human Thank you but I wasn't sure why that is an issue (I'm in the beginning stages of setting up my tank, so no experience or what to expect).

@@blujeans9462 If the water is bypassing the filter media, then it's not being cleaned. Foam has a large surface area that allows beneficial bacteria to grow while still being highly porous. It also catches larger debris as well as other detritus.
