I agree about the duvet. Hard to tell if they ever even change out that outer layer on the duvet. I'd rather have a sheet and just light-medium blanket, not just a thick duvet.

If you guys would take 40mg of either Prilosec or Nexium a day while on a cruise it would help you not get heartburn. 40 is prescription strength. You can take it all at once or 20 mg twice a day. Also keep rolaids on hand if you need extra before bed.

When I went on MSC Divina, I felt like the food was good for that line (When I went on MSC Opera last summer, food was nasty!) but the service was horrible. They were always mad and didn't seem like they wanted to work. When I went on Star princess, it was great. Now our family goes on a MSC cruise every year because the kids are free.

We always bring an old hotel room key to leave in the light/air conditioning key slot, that way we always have our stateroom keys with us but the air doesn't kick off when we leave the room.

Hey Amy....when we book a cruise, we make sure that our cabin is never above or below any public area....on one of our first cruises we were under the buffet and we had the same issue...so we learned a very valuable lesson

I always bring scissors on cruises. They are in my first aid kit and I pack them in my checked luggage. I've only cruised with Carnival though. Maybe it's different on other cruise lines??

You took this cruise at the beginning of July and the ship looks half empty. I'm very surprised. The point of using the room card is to save on energy. When you leave the room and take your room card with you, everything is shut off.

it depends on the type of apples used, some places use softer apples some use more firm apples

Baked apples are a matter of taste, but I believe most people here in the States prefer them more soft than hard. Kind of like apple slices in pie. As for rooms under the dining room or buffet they are a :"No, go." for me. I don't think it is the eating areas per se but galley noise that you hear. They are pretty busy in there, if you've ever been on a galley tour, or Chef's Table those people are BUSY! I get pretty disgusted with people on the forums that complain about servers and buffet staff - most people that complain would never work that hard.

Every time I see y'all get confused with time changes I want to scream at the screen, "Bring a watch!" Lol. Even if you don't want to actually wear it, you could put it on a belt loop, in your bag, etc. I get so nervous that you guys are going to miss out on something or miss the ship because your phone time is incorrect. 😜

i loved the Divina. it was my first cruise. the dining was classy. However, the buffet was horrible. I didn't eat pizza for over a year because i got turned off by the cruise. Breakfast pizza? too much. and all americans don't like hamburgers and hot dogs. Also, everyone don't eat pork. they didn't offer substitutions for breakfast and lunch...ham, bacon, salami, and other porky meats. No turkey, chicken options. the only thing that prevents me from booking another cruise is my concern about the food.not enough variety

MSC like all italian lines are big on asthetics and low on quality, only just beaten by Costa, full of buffoons and derdoinks. Surprised that you where surprised by room noise overnight, as experienced cruisers you could put money on the room being noisey being below the cafe... duhhh!!!!

From what I have been told by other avid cruisers the ship is fabulous but the food is so so and you would think an itlian liner would have some of the best food. Also the service is not on point I was told, however thr prices are good
