Celtic should 100% sell Giakoumakis 🇬🇷 IF the price is right. £15-20M and I’d let him go. He’s 28 in a few months and we only paid £2.25M for him less than 12 months ago! The reality is that with that money we could invest in a top young prospect from around Europe for £5-10M or so, gain a younger more exciting player with a far higher ceiling who could net us £30M+ in a couple of seasons. Not to mention we’d still have £10M+ left over in the bank! My choice would be David Datro Fofana 🇨🇮 from Molde. He’s 19 years old and he’s the crown jewel of Norwegian football. He’s 6’0, stocky, VERY powerful, fast and scores goals for fun. He’ll be off to a big club in Europe VERY soon and everyone will know who he is in a season or two. Other options include Marcos Leonardo 🇧🇷 from Santos, Wilfried Gnonto 🇮🇹 from FC Zürich or Rasmus Høljund 🇩🇰 from SK Sturm Graz. All of which could be bought with the Giakoumakis money, all of which would be ELITE signings for Celtic and really put us on the map. There’s nothing wrong with being a selling club when the price is right and you use the money wisely!
