What an ADVENTURE! A few weeks back, my good friend Bri Andrassy (you many know her as BA_Fishing) called me last minute and asked if I would be interested in participating in the FIRST EVER PWC freshwater tournament on Lake Powell. I had NEVER been on a PWC nor had I fished that giant lake, BUT, I was not going to turn something like this down. It would be VERY different from the kayak bass tournaments that I was used to, and I was stoked to see how I would fair! I wasn't able to bring any gear, except for a few reels, so I was thankful to borrow some tackle and rods and was ready to set out and see what the fishing here was all about! ALSO- the winner of this tournament would WIN A SEADOO. Hope y'all enjoy!

I'm right handed and always use "left hand" conventional reels. Does anyone know why they are made this way, and spinning reels are made to be cranked with what I would consider the proper hand? I'm guessing in the long long ago you needed your stronger hand to winch in a big fish.

same - want my dominant hand on the rod unless I'm using a big reel offshore where the reel is doing more work than the rod. Bass fishing (and most small game) the fish is not usually winched in on the reel - usually pulled in with the rod. Plus it's more efficient! Don't have to switch hands after casting.
