Seadoo JL Audio System

This is a video i shot after JL Audio sent their mobile installers to insall a sound system on my 2016 wake 215. The video does not do this system justice of how clear ad loud it is. I can put water all over the font and rear of the speakers with no problem when trying to remove the salt from the speakers. Also i'm not endorsed by these installers, i just think they did a great job!

It was the amps power cables extended basically. I cannot show a picture of it because it blends in to the oem one.

How's everything holding up after this install? I just purchased same speakers, amp and receiver for my 2016 sea doo rxt260 and I'm getting it installed soon. I'm worried about the limited space that right speaker has that's close to the engine.

ive had to warranty the right speaker because the installer first turned on the speaker over full blast and it never sounded 100% but its good now. and the space is big enough for there not to be any isssues.

How deep are the speakers and how did you initially feel about cutting into your fiberglass?

I didnt care about cutting it at all, i got it done with i think 0 hours on the ski and it has been great! As long as you have a completely sealed speaker like this model ( mx 650s ) , there wont be any water leaking in. Im about to do a install video on my other ski soon because ive had so much more fun on the ski with speakers.

Colton Bradley there was only space for two speakers on this model. But i would keep the 2 speaker setup, its really loud.

That was dumb of them to not install the bluetooth receiver on top of the compartment.. It won't go bad installing it on top of the storage, why would you think it would go bad? That would get old having to open that up every time you want to turn it up or down and change the song.. Just my opinion. Looks and sounds great though! Nice looking ski as well.

The installer has had multiple receivers malfunction due to riding in salt water conditions which is what I mainly ride in. Also i have my phone in a clear dry bag type of case that hangs around my neck like a chain. I find this the best case to keep my phone dry at all times but it does not float. thanks for the comment.

+yougio321 Oh okay that makes sense then, I don't do any saltwater riding so I should be fine with it on top of the storage then. Have you had any problems with heat from the engine prematurely deteriorating the speakers?

Justin Yarletts no, the heat has not deteriorated the speakers one bit. the only deterioration is the stainless screws holding the speaker in which have light rust on them from constant saltwater use, but they can be easily replaced if they get bad.

Moises Velez I didnt have a second battery. the seadoo battery would last about 3 hrs of full blast music until it dies. after the ride we did connect to the chargers though just incase.

SeaDoo!!!! just put a ue roll 2 on my new rxp-s 5 hours of water time so far. It's loud enough for slow riding but when going fast my girl can't hear almost anything from the little thing.

Not sure you can figure that out by searching vids on amp gain setting and do it with a voltmeter

@@TFPVIDS I was just seeing what yours was. All you got to do is take the back plate off and it’s all right there. But does your setup make any kind of buzz/hum sound when you turn it on or when connected?

The installer used a hole diagram that comes with the speakers when you buy them. He used a jig saw type of tool.

Ro Pantoja nope. The ski has 44 hrs but it usually gets driven to the sandbar and blasts music and then jumps some waves too. No leaks or issues!

Victor Velazquez the samething as if you had no speakers. youll get a little bit of water that enters through the engine bay intake tubes but no what can pass through the speakers.

I tried 6.5 and even 8, they sound like absokute junkn without enclosure. I dont think these soeakers are even meant to be used like that, sound quality is herrendous

sucks to hear, did you use all JL Audio components because I've heard the M8s and those are louder than the ones on this ski in the video. I did have this setup tuned and setup properly by a mobile audio tech. Hope you don't rule out JL Audio as they have great products, best of luck!

Just bought the same set up for my Sea Doo 2000 LRV except I added 4 speakers.... And Boy People Pull me over all the time..... On the water..... Gentlemen FYI this set up is not cheap
