@@petermuniz9296 -- Just about. However, only a third of the recommended per gallon. There's a big debate out there on the KZbins that Seafoam isn't the best for more modern engines. Won't hurt anything, but the debate is that it's useless. But I've seen it make a difference in a lot of newer vehicles. Better fuel economy, less smoke in just about all. However, when you connect a scan tool and look at the before and after treatment numbers, that's where I've always seen marked improvements. O2 sensors last longer, Cats last longer. Overall numbers on the scanner are better.

I just added this to my 2009 JK Wrangler I put in Pennzoil Platinum ultra high mileage oil with a Napa Platinum oil filter. Ben. That's the air plenum not the intake. I did the injectors 4 years ago. Never do it the wy they tell you! That plenum will cone out the rear if you remove the dist . cap and lift the A C lines . did the whole thing in 4 hours!

Hi Matt: You'd need Sea Foam Spray to apply through a throttle body. Sea Foam or High Mileage in oil have nothing to do with leaks. Add it to oil to liquefy heavier residues. Hope this helps!

if i were you id run liqui molys molygen oil on your next change, it glows under a blacklight so you can see where oil is coming from, seafoam might help but it will only be a bandaid solution, it never hurts to run this stuff through your car though

I used this in the crankcase of my 4.0 and it sputtered for about half a mile after i used it. is that normal? maybe the oil pump didn't like how thin it was? I believe you - that you experienced a sputtering of sorts...But adding to oil would not cause the oil pump to react differently. Anyway, I don' have an answer for what caused the sputter. It's OK to run in the oil for the full duration of the interval, so no worries. Just add half a can to your 4.0 every interval and it will continue to clean your oil crankcase.

Is the amount supposed to be per gallon capacity of the vehicle? It seems like you just added over 20 ounces to a few gallons fuel. The can says 1 to 2 ounces per gallon.

Great question! For cleaning, can shows "use 2 or more ounces per gallon", so you can could go with 50 ounce per gallon if you wanted. I like to add a can or two when the tank is low, drive at least 20 miles before adding fuel.

You should be OK if adding to 5 or 6 quarts (or more). Just watch your oil color - if it goes dark fast, replace your oil.

If I plan on driving a while with seafoam in the oil, I use half a can. But I will throw a full can in and let it idle in park for a while right before an oil change. Five quarts in my case. I wouldn’t advise loading the engine with extra seafoam in the oil.

Great question! Most things need something different as they get older. Sea Foam and High Mileage are very similar, but High Mileage is blended to do more for an engine as it becomes more vulnerable to deposit buildup and heavier oil residues.

How much is this actually lies? I've put sea foam in my fuel tank multiple times no white smoke, I put it in my oil crankcase, and next I'll probably add it through the throttle body I see no difference or feel no difference.

You won't see Sea Foam vapor by adding to oil or fuel tank. It needs to pass directly through the upper intake (throttle body).,

I used for the 1st time seafoam high mile can and my engine light is now off but my diagnostics said it Wes my air injection system does seafoam help with that? Next question I put seafoam reg in my crank case before a oil change and they said I had 2 quarts over which I don't understand does the seafoam break down sludge and add to what's in the engine ? Thanks for the question. 1) No, there is no relationship to air injection, which occurs on the exhaust at start up. 2) Two quarts of oil is a lot! You'd have to start with a ton of sludge for that to happen. Seems you were just over-filled. Hope this helps!

So I did my oil change and followed these steps, and my truck started leaking oil bad, does anybody know if this sea foam causes Leaks? My truck wasn’t leaking prior to me adding this, now it won’t stop leaking.

@@krazykrimizbak How many miles on the engine? Sometimes an older engine can have a lot of oil varnish build up that ends up plugging leaky seals/gaskets... Because Sea Foam reliquefies varnish, appears it might have cleaned up the goo around leaky seals.

My Silverado has roughly around 180000miles, and I see that’s most likely what happen, I was doing a little research and that’s what most sources are telling me, I just thought I was weird, but this makes sense, I’ll still continue to use Seafoam products.
