Excellent video and explanation. Why did you use the pin hole twice at the start of head and sand?

Hi. Thank you for your kind comments. At the start of the sand (starting at a point) using the pinhole twice is the neatest way to get extra pairs in quickly at the start of the piece. With the start of the head where I start with a false footing and the top of the lace is curved by working the pinhole twice you are adding an extra row of cloth stitch which when you tension up pushes up to fill the curve better. If you only used that pinhole once you would end up with a straight row of threads across the work and a bigger gap between the cloth stitch and the top edge.
