The way Abe took out two rushers on that stunt play. That was awesome. He saw the guy coming around the end, switched to the inside backer coming around and used his momentum to put him right into that outer edge/corner and mashed both of them. That was super underappreciated.

Yea he's definitely more of a "move" or flex/receiving TE.
@rig20374 күн бұрын
He hasnt been healthy at all either this season. Hes a bust. Seattle gotta get rid of him, Barner already looks better than Pharoah Brown AND Noah Fant combined. Better blocker, faster, better hands.
@RH1N0824 күн бұрын
Always been a pass catching TE, so understandable why he sucks at blocking. Like Jimmy Graham was when he got to the Hawks. Our team has always been where those types of TEs come and are rarely utilized.
@williamcooke60564 күн бұрын
He isn't a good blocker when he is healthy. And he isn't healthy. But he is the fastest TE we have, and runs good routes.
@toddzickel25483 күн бұрын
Fant is the best TE we have and when healthy, he's a weapon in the pass game. Run blocking isn't his game. Will Dissly is actually playing well for the Bolts. Not sure why TEs don't thrive more in Seattle. Been like that for decades.
@chrissnape95374 күн бұрын
Fant is 250 lbs runs a 4.5 40 and we felt we needed to pay him $11 million a year. With blocking like this normal. I would have kept Dizly and Perkinson added Barner in the draft. We pay less get better blocking and more yards receiving. Schneider wiffed on this one. It happens. Just imagine how much better we would run the ball.
@andrewcarlson21784 күн бұрын

He graded poorly because he was listed as a OT in college. He has to short of arms for an NFL OT. It why he lasted so long in the draft. It wasn't a good OT prospect because of his short arms for an OT. But as a guard he would have tested much higher. His guard grade would have been a 3rd grade.

I think with the looping rusher play you could argue Olu was also at fault. They committed 3 linemen to one rusher on the left side. If Olu realized they were dropping that right edge rusher and kept his head on a swivel then he could have closed up some of that gap. The two of them really should only be committing 1 arm to those d linemen to stay free for that gap. Either way, good play by the jets.

Barner is NOT a good blocker. He doesn't DRIVE people with his legs. He holds the jersey ar the shoulder pads and lightly pushes. What happened to Christian Haynes? I thought he was supposed to be tough! Looks like a bust. I was concerned because he was 24 yo. Why draft a man playing against boys in college? Risky and i guess i was correct for once. Tomlinson is horrendous amd Cross has regressed for some reason. Why can't we field a tough OL. It's been since Holmgren ran the show with Jones, Hutch, Tobeck, Gray and Locklear. Almost 20 years!! 😢
