An incredible heartbreaking story. The terrorists have been in my life for all of my 60 years, it's always sucked and now our brothers and sisters have sacrificed for hate. This man is a warrior, thanks for sharing the story.

Condolences Mike. I love your show brother. I especially like when you have multiple guests at the same time like you did this show. We all have our own personal demons. Honestly though I think that part of the solution is hanging out together from time to time . I don't even know any of you guys but I feel 100 percent better at least for today just watching you 4 discussing things. One of the statements I hate the most is when higher ups let you know that their door is always open. Bullshit. We have to look out for each other. Life can make it difficult but keeping in touch with your bros could possibly help. Thanks for opening up for this interview gentleman. Never underestimate the power that these shows have. I know some people that have changed their trajectories watching Mike and Shawn's shows.

The podcast is amazing and it's always an honor and so humbling to hear these living histories. Future generations will surely also benefit. How I wish we had the same from WW2, Korea and Nam and other deployments and skirmishes. Appreciate the attention Somalia has received here, as well as Jocko and Shawn Ryan. Don't have a single criticism. On another note...... the "commercials" have me howling in laughter and I love the approach versus same old boring sponsor talk. Was listening in car this am after work and screaming laughing during the ad for Undercarriage grooming and such. Can only imagine what fellow drivers think as they speed up to get away from the crazy lady laughing hysterically as she drives. Shawn Ryan is also hysterical. Love it guys- don't ever change!

That's rough. My Mal has pannus, and all the meds in the world are just slowing it down. Keeps progressing. Watching such an epic dog slowly lose vision is rough, missing marks now, I can see the white film progressing slowly across their eyes. The meds (immunosuppresant) cause all sorts of problems. I've tried thinking about what the end of the road looks like and I can't rn. That's going to be a trial by fire thing I think. She's been there stuck to my side for 5 years literally 24/7 now. I love the insight and perspective your show allows me to absorb, thanks man.

I was on SOTF-SE Ripley morning helicopter crash took Lt Looney and others. Heading to shower about 4 am. Mayor was up. Strange. Told me 11 guys lost. 4 operators. Few days later we had memorial service on Ripley. Petraus and all his entourage came. Sad times. I was working w/SF and everyone was down. Never seen so many squids w/face in hands bawling like kids. They asked me to snap few pictures of them behind boots/helmets/ rifles. Spent good 20 minutes taking everyone’s camera or phone and taking pictures. Sept 2010 we lost them, 2 CAC, and one Green Beret.

That’s crazy. I was at nawbahar 2009 before the seals came in, I think it was team 3🤔. I was in Cco. 1-508PIR 82nd. In November we got in a pretty big TIC and Repair 4-3 came on station and helped us out. Ended up bringing in like 20 motorcycles back, along with lots of body parts. Half our platoon rode with the teams on their little side by sides while the Seabees built the B huts. Then we went to Atghar and while on a night op we had a bird brownout and crash into the side of a mountain. It was the Wild West back then.

Interesting, around the 2-hour mark when they're talking about the meaning of life...while I get it, & I think it's a sentiment that most humans either feel themselves or at least can comprehend, it also strikes me as an incredibly subjective view, that may very well be objectively incorrect. I think what's more important then is the basic feelings behind what Rob has to say here, & the fact that he/they are using it as a coping mechanism, & a clearer lens thru which to view the world & life around them, much as religion is used. It's all tools that they've recently added into their tool boxes to help them mitigate the pitfalls of life...but certainly not, or probably not, the actual meaning of life. Glad I could help, now if you'll excuse me, I need to explain a bunch of stuff to my lovely wife now.

A man just recently died from heart complications from Ibogaine. The man administrating the process is being charged with murder. It's a known side effect for those predisposed. Also ayahuasca can kill if you have a certain enzyme mutation, which I do. Luckily straight DMT, 5meo, and DXM among others, do net effect that enzyme...at least fatally. Point being, do your research and be safe. Psychedelics saved my life for sure but some are not without risks.
