I’m gonna explain why this is such a big thing…all UK military sign an oath to fight for "queen and country". She is the commander in chief of The Army, Navy & Air Force. When you disrespect her, you disrespect them and their fallen comrades. She reigned for 70 years and was respected world wide for what she done, her charity work & help building structure in third world UK colonies, have you heard of the common wealth? And the thing she is probably most respected for is her military service, at the age of 18 she voluntarily put herself forward when she didn't need to & during the time of the "Blitz" when London was being bombed by the Germans, loads of high Net Worth individuals left the City and fled to safety. The Queen didn't. She stayed in London to send a message to the Germans and to the British people, that message being, we are gonna stand and fight. The monarchy has done terrible things in their history, they are nearly 1000 years old, but that does not for one second discredit her, or which she done for the UK. God Save The Queen🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

When HM the Queen, was asked in the event of her passing, which aircraft would she like to be flown back to London. Her aides recommended a few aircraft. HM declined and requested her remain be transported by RAF C17 Globemaster. Her aides quickly try to disuade her and that the C17 was a big, grey transport aircraft and not befitting HM. She sternly said said "if its good enough for my boys, its good enough for me". Hence when HM remains return to London, the RAF flight call sign kittyhawk was used for the last time.

We (the British) have love for our American Brothers. Had the pleasure parachuting and working with Navy Seals and USMC 1st and 3rd anglico operational and in california camp Pendleton doing our jumps, great times even when playing basketball or in true British style putting the gloves on for a friendly punch up. I was on her honour guard, both times she visited Calgary, Canada. Met her the second time, for a reception, at the Museum of the Regiments in Calgary. Spoke to her. She had class. I would have put myself in harms way to protect her. ☺️☺️☺️🤠🤠🤠🤠 At the Parade the first time in Calgary, she saw that after the Regiments had done their march past, the WW2 vets, in their Blazers and Berets, or kilts, were either walking along slowly, or hobbling on canes, or pushed in wheel chairs, behind the Regiments, that without asking or waiting for anyone, she got out from behind the dias, walked down the stairs in the stands through astonished crowds, to the parade square where she stopped the vets, went up to every single one, returned their salutes, shook the vets hands and spoke to everyone of them and thanked them for their service. There were also some vets who struggled to stand up from their wheel chairs, in pain, who shrugged off assistance from others to come to attention to salute her. All standing a little straighter, proud of the recognition she bestowed on them. What Monarch has done the same??? 😳☺️☺️☺️ The combined security the British, RCMP and local police were having minor or major heart attacks. This was a Queen in every sense of the word, acted and behaved with Charisma, Humble yet still garnering Loyalty. Brings tears to my eyes, just remembering the Event. Yes, a Very Classy person ... she will be remembered. Her Husband??? A thoroughly dispicable man. @@skampy134 no, they set the standard. Insane success rate, created the flashbang, gave it free to all other special services and taught them how to deal with plane hostage situations which they, the sas, were the first to figure out a solution for. There's just so many impressive stories about the sas and sbs, even after they retire like the one single sas guy at that hotel. I get that it's hard for some americans to praise anyone that isn't them because they are hard conditioned to believe no matter what that they are the best even when they rarely are, but it's undisputed that the SAS is the best of the best, and it's a good thing it's them because they are clearly all about cooperating, and while I'm at it, they've helped train most american special forces, just saying. It's not about ego or pride, they just fucking hard like that. anyone worth their salt has to consider SAS very hard for best special forces, they are trained to an insane level even in counter intelligence and interogation. I called the Queen a dike in a bar full of Brits, in Spain in 1989. My buddy and I had to fight back to back to make it to the door. When we made it to the sidewalk, I ran so fast that I’d lost my shoes. By the time I stopped running, all that remained of my socks was the elastic part that rests above the ankle. Lesson learned. Except for the Royal Navy's special forces unit, the Special Boat Service (SBS). They are actually even more highly trained than the SAS. Although they originally had separate selection courses, nowadays both SAS and SBS candidates go through "special forces selection". Having successfully completed SF selection (which lasts 6 months) SAS candidates are then "badged" and sent to one of the SAS squadrons (although training is ongoing). SBS candidates, however, are not badged until they have successfully completed a second period of selection, comprising a further period of gruelling training, this time in maritime warfare. This includes, parachuting into the sea, deep diving, infiltration and exfiltration from submerged submarines, underwater demolition, sea and estuary canoeing and using various amphibious craft, boarding ships at sea, etc. They also at times participate in land-based operations. SBS operatives took part in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan alongside their SAS colleagues. As one SBS guy said - "We can do everything the SAS can do, AND walk on water...".

From the moment you attest, till the day you ‘TX’ you are government property, and go without complaint wherever her government deems your presence necessary. Oddly enough, it’s the one time in my life that I felt a sense of duty and usefulness. I earn 5x a month what I did back then now, but I’m not sure I’ll ever feel the sense of pride and fulfilment that I did as, essentially, a tool with a serial number.

@@franciswhite7125 bruhhhh 😂 they didn't sign up to fight for the monarchy that's like saying soldiers for the us signed up to fight for trump or some random celebrity the royals are just a tourist attraction and a rich family that has deep routes in slavery and destruction of other continents/society something we are very much separated from as a nation there are a few weirdos who love the royals but most of em aren't British

Proud i served 3 different times in British Army..last time unfortunately broke my back doing a charity parachute jump on a weekend off from SAS Signals pre Selection in March 03. Went on june Selection 03..with a broken back. Almost passed. Wrote letter with my health journey to CO in 2015. Apologies for wating their time. Reply was, no need to apologise. You turned up and volunteered for a 3rd time to serve when the world in need. You wouldve been ideal if you passed. Im really proud of that letter.

Glad you didn't break your head. You're still here making trouble aren't you? 😂 That's awesome. I heard that selection process is a real tough nut to crack.

I did not get much time with him, but I had a step-grandfather. I don't want to go too deep because I'm not super knowledgeable and don't want to show disrespect, but he did a LOT of parachute jumps in his time, eventually working at the security gates of small army barracks. His back, legs, knees, all of it... Absolutely broken. He never once said he regretted his time in the army though and that's something that really stood out to me. Thankyou for your service, even if you didn't pass the selection, I bet your spirit helped many others get over the finish line. Be proud.

Here's my 3 different times. If you wanted to ask. I served 3 different times in the British Army. 1st time: June to Oct 88 (5 months) in Royal Artillery as a 16 yr old Junior Leader. I ruptured my Achilles tendon, just after I wanted to start the training, for 29 Commando Regt R.A. Which was attached to 3rd Commando Brigade RM. So it was either backsquad or rejoin at 17.5yrs. Although my Instructors, said I might be allowed to stay in same troop if my injury healed quick. Unfortunately it needed months to settle (My Achilles tendon Injury, followed me through My 2nd and 3rd time serving. Also during my Team Solent Athletics Club time. I was a 100 200 4x100m relay sprinter. I still get the odd flare up at 51yrs old. As my left ankle is thinner than right. As my Achilles tendon blew out my ankle). So i devided to reinlisted in 89 as Adult (Regulars) entrant. 2nd time: 03/01/90 to 14/03/93 (3yrs) in Royal Corps of Transport. As a Mariner (Army Maritime trade title). As a Deckhand/Nav, on Army Landing Craft and Mexeflote rafts. Attached to 3rd Commando Brigade RM. Loved Amphibious Warefare Trade. 3rd time: 02 to 04 in A Troop 63 SAS Royal Signals Sqn T.A. Unfortunately I broke my back doing a charity parachute jump on a weekend off from SAS Signals pre Selection in March 03. I went on the June 03 summer selection. Unaware I had broken it. Miracle I made it as far as I did. All part of my 29yr ongoing physical and mental chronic and acute health battles. My mottos which are proudly tattooed next to my Army tattoos are: "Forward Forever - Backwards Never. Progress Not Perfection. Adapt & Overcome. Never Give Up Or In". "Be comfortable with being uncomfortable". I won't ever let it best me though.

Not for long. We came back in 1812-15, when they didn't have any allies like they did in the first match. We even gave them a chance by sending 3rd rate troops.
