It's funny the rate at which "the new hotness" on rifle setups keeps changing. First it was ensure proper cheek weld and shouldering of the stock with as little height over bore on your optic as possible, and now back to 90's style high rise optics.

I know, it's been interesting watching the past 25 years of ar's. I can at least understand why guys who use nv would want and just about need a higher optic. But, when I see those who don't remotely even have the intention of ever using nv intentionally giving themselves a chinweld just because it's cool and they heard a youtube video of a guy who talked to a seal talk about it and they give the pamphlet response of "well personally I like a more heads-up, neutral position plus it makes it easier for passive aiming through nods"........cmon bro, you got it because it's a hot fad now, don't kid yourself😂

Multiple setups. Home defense options are a Scorpion evo 3 with a holosun SCRS and white light (streamlight). Running a BCM vertical (but it’s still slanted) grip. Also have my M&P 2.0 Metal with a surefire X300U-A. Can run as my CCW as well when I wear a jacket. CCW: Shadow Systems CR920P, got the compact light as well. Need to grab the Enclosed holosun (I don’t like open emitter optics). Rifles and Pistols (pistols chambered for rifle rounds): Got a PSA Saber 13.7 P&W upper on a spare lower I had lying around. Currently has a Vortex 5x prism w/ a venom reflex on the top mount (height over bore is pretty annoying but wasn’t that what all the riser craze was for?). Has a streamlight. Actively looking for a solid deal on a DBAL or maybe a holosun IR/Vis LAM. Got a Galil Ace gen 1 in 5.56 (13”) with just an eotech on it. May throw a light on it but it’s more or less something I wanted to collect. Zastava ZPap92 with a monster streamlight and looking to get a Mepro optic (or something else that looks funny) for the aesthetics lol. Have an HM Defense Raider M5 (12.5” ARP) that’s got a streamlight and a holosun 3x Magnifier with a 512C (enclosed emitter) as another good all around duty style gun. Ambi charging on both ARs with various magpul angled grips. Duty Style pistol: Sig 226 (done up by Zev). Has a sig red dot and a tlr7a.

03:50 Regarding WML: For the average private citizen, they aren't going to be running NV. To mitigate accidental activation, light-caps should be used such as what 100 Concepts offers.
@onekingproductions5466
@onekingproductions5466 Ай бұрын
If you have a push button tailcap, the light should be on the support hand side (left side for right-handed shooters/right side for left-handed shooters) that way you can actuate it with your non-firing hand. If you ONLY have a tape switch, I'd say get the light on the firing side to keep it out of the way and prevent back lighting when clearing corners/doors. Right-handed shooters will prefer a barricade on the left side so they can peak around and not expose too much of their body. (Vice/verse for lefties) If the light is also on the left side, it is highly likely that they will light up the wall in front of them, rather than where they have their muzzle pointed.

Has a foregrip and it's setup like a standard M4. Has the A2 sight and gas block out front irons only right now. I want a pulsar thermion thermal and a good ol ACOG which I can swap out one for the other depending on the situation. Getting a rise armament LE145 trigger for it as well as a captured buffer system and a cryptic coatings dlc bcg.
