Shannon, I dip my paper beads in wood hardener 7 times. After last dipping has dried, I then dip them in minwax water poly. They are hard and durable as rock!

i tried the wood hardener that u used in the video a few weeks ago... and the smell was horrible and the fizzing scared me ....like a toxic bomb...i use PC wood petrifier now...not toxic...and no fizzing

I will have to try this. the mod podge that i have been using to seal my paper beads, i let dry of course, then put all the cured and dried paper beads in a plastic baggie, I went back to check on them, and they were sticking to each other just a bit, they were still useable, but I don't like them sticking, so I will have to try this, thank you.

Good video. Maybe the bubbles are coming from trapped air in the bead shaft.

Love how these beads turned out, Shannon! I´ve probably become a pain in the behind for our local hardware store (I live in Finland); " I need a similar product I saw online..no, I don´t know what it´s made of..."etc. The shop owner has grey hair nowadays. Tfs, Fia xx

Very cool product, Shannon! I've hesitated making any more beads because it's such a hassle doing one bead at a time when coating them with glossy accents or polycrylic. This will definitely get me back to making beads! I'm assuming they don't stick together on the threads, or you'd have warned us. Thank you for sharing your info with us!!! ❤️
@ShannonGreen5 жыл бұрын
They've not stuck together at all which still amazes me!

I Used This As Well Definitely Make Your Beads However You Wanna Test One Bead First Because It Has Acetone Duuuh Acetone Removes Paint Color So Keep That In Mind And At Times UnScrewing That Top To Get It Open Is A Workout And Make Sure You Have Pure Acetone Just In Case You Get It On Your Hands I Wear Gloves But This Stuff Can Still Put Holes In Your Gloves If It Sits Too Long Other Than That I Still Like Using It Like She Said Just Be Cautious I Occasionally Use Pc Wood That Is A Really Good Hardener I Have Even Heard Some People Dilute Mod Lodge Not Too Much Water But A Tad Bit And When They Damp Dry They Put Them In The Oven Or Microwave Depending On The Oven Temperature 10- 20 Sec No More And Repeat Less Secs If You Have To I Haven't Tried It But I Hear Does Work Either Way If You Want Your Beads Rock Hard And Water Resistance These Methods There' s A Wait Process But If Your Addicted Like I Am The Waiting Process Is Worth It!!!!
