Honestly, your very frank expression at the beginning of every video, sets the scene for a serious, educational environment. I enjoy that a lot. "Hi. I'm Seamless." It's as if right off the bat you deflect the entire purpose of the video away from your ego and straight to the subject. It's a modest expression, imo.
@JunkieMonkey3219 жыл бұрын
MaximumRadical i love his intro. and no "please like subscribe comment favorite and share all my videos and here are 8 annotations for my social media" etc. straight to the point and nothing more. not even annoying background music and its still not boring to just listen to him speak for 20 minutes

I was never really to pin this down until now. most importantly, this straight to the point kind of style creates an enviroment of trust. You just know he's not bullshitting you by any means.

thanks for this one. I'm just now getting to a point where I NEED to schedule time for personal projects, samples, packs and preset packs along with running a website and the administration and marketing involved there. I know it would be beneficial to add youtube to my list and expand the social media reach as well as give back, by sharing what I've learned over the years, but I'm already spread thin. it's good to see its not just me haha.

Yeah, I completely get this. I mean especially looking up to your favorite artists. I always feel lazy when I see Celldweller's work load. P.s. glad you explained how you're a video wizard. Thanks.
@SeamlessR9 жыл бұрын
Burgundy Black When you get to Celldweller's level you also have to consider the concept of "expansion". Celldweller has staff. He's got a guy for video editing, he's got a guy who puts together samples he produces into packs and plugins, he's got his label and people who work in it who handle all the label stuff. That's how he's able to accomplish so much. Similarly, if I wanted to do more (as seen in my video "doing more") I'd need to also consider expansion. Most people at the tippy top high level super professional have staff for this reason.

Would you ever consider doing a series where you analyze songs that people can send in? Perhaps even have the audio clips include the individual instruments too.

i think the difference is when you're actually excited and having fun while doing these things.. because if a song took 8 hours to make, but only *felt* like 2, then it doesn't actually matter how long it really took. on the other hand if it felt like the *full* 8 hours to make the song then clearly you're going about things the wrong way which they aren't exciting.

@sSPACEBALLSs8 жыл бұрын
Nobody worth listening to will tell you that by the stage your at now (nearly a year as you said) that you should have finished a track. You're still Learning and you will be for a while, all that matters is that you know more than you did last month and then the month after that you know even more and so on... Learn about chords and scales, learn how your favourite synths work (signal diagrams can be really helpful), learn about different kinds of synthesis. Learn things specific to what you're doing to, like if you were making progressive house then learn about chords and chord progressions etc. Above all make sure you enjoy yourself

Can anybody tell me please , if it is possible to play the sound you've created in FL Studio and be able to play it with my keyboard i'd be thankful if you could answer this thanks.
@cooxy2459 жыл бұрын
So what you can do if your keyboard has a MIDI-Output (look for one on the back) and just get an MIDI-to-USB cable (perhaps about 10-20 bucks) then connect the keyboard with your computer, and if you go to the FL MIDI settings your keyboard should pop up there. Click it, and then, down there, is a little knob with "enable". Switch it on (and set the input to "generic controller" in the drop down menu above) and you should be able to play on your keyboard and it will be transferred onto your synths in FL.
@sahandAhari9 жыл бұрын
Great thanks CooxyLP thus i can play back the sounds i want from my keyboard speakers and yes i have a midi out and i also have a midi to usb thanks

Okay, this is a serious question...Given this vid, how can people like Skrillex and Diplo do what they do?? I imagine a crack team of people behind them trying to make sure they stay motivated. They do so many things that I couldn't ever think up. Do THEY even know that will doing or saying each day it seems crazy
@Jay-4079 жыл бұрын
It is pretty crazy how skrillex does about 320 something shows a year. Thats almost a show a day and they are all over the world. Its mind blowing.
@SeamlessR9 жыл бұрын
whosmav628 Staff. And, as well, smart production practices. They're able to do the kind of music they do easily on a laptop in a bus or a hotel and require not as much effort to make them into final pieces. Or maybe get sent off for mixing/mastering. Make no mistake, this still requires serious talent for even the most basic kinds of music. For the rest of it, it's that they have people on hand to help with things to reduce difficulty and make things flow easier. People who find and schedule gigs, people who load and unload gear, coordination from the bottom to the top that big artists like that probably aren't handling on their own. It's a whole army of people that allows such things to be accomplished.
@Jay-4079 жыл бұрын

@dutare82559 жыл бұрын
When you have that bass line in your head, place notes down where you think they would go in the daw, and press play. Find the notes that aren't where they're supposed to be, and tweak them as needed! That's how I started off haha
