Tori, on these walking foot machines, to avoid the thread issues, you have to hold the thread ,you don't want the thread bunching up inside that machine, it's expensive to fix..and a pain.lol just hold your thread to everything you start to sew...

Try holding the threads when you start you might have less problems.
