Under the category of heavy missiles I see a group called 'high precision' missiles. The description says that these missiles are designed for firing at smaller, faster craft. Does that mean frigates? Or are frigates still to fast? Should I use them, or a rapid light launcher? If the precision heavy missiles aren't for cruiser versus frigate engagements, then what ARE they for?

I never noticed before that the rapid variations for frigate level and cruiser level missiles (to fit on cruisers and battleships respectively) are for the long distance missile varieties, while the rapid launcher for battleship sized missiles (for dreadnoughts) takes the short ranged battleship sized missiles. Eve never stops to make one wonder... Also, for those interested in an 'advanced' class on missiles: Suitonia has made a nice video on the combination of fractions of seconds on missile flight times and the full second server ticks. I wish Drake practically had as many Launcher-hardpoints as it has visually on the ship; i.e. 8...

It used to, but the number of actual hardpoints was changed in one of the rebalancing passes a couple of years ago.
