I just finished this game Im crying my eyes out while watching edits of them😭 i got the ending where Sean got with Finn and Daniel with the grandparents

blood brothers is the best ending for both of them in my opinion. not only did they achieve their main goal of the entire journey (and game), but they’re also healthy, happy and still by each other’s side after all they went through. the way i see it, everything they did only makes sense and is absolutely worth it if you end up with blood brothers :]

@@skairings What about cassidy,fin,penny,hanah,lyla,their granparents,mom,brody,jacob ? Edit : i got ending sean with cassidy in mexico and daniel with chris, grandparents.. it hurtsss alot no matter what's the ending 💔

@@Kooldude.69 there is no ending that is completely perfect and thats okay, most of the relationships you mentioned are the ones they made throughout their journey & WANTED them to get to puerto lobos. some even actively tried to help them themselves to get there. so even if theyre no longer with them, im sure they’re just happy they made it safely. but you are right, ultimately all the endings bring me to tears, and i really hate the idea of the brothers being separated in parting ways like that so its probably my least fav 🥲

@@skairings Well, I prefer the Redemption Ending the most. Let me explain in detail why and how I unravel it from my feelings. This is purely from my point of view. Of course everyone feels differently. 😅 1st place "Redemption" ending (good morale and surrender): The end where you surrender and Daniel agrees because he learned from you how to act responsibly. This is the ending I got on my first run through and I have to say afterwards that I like this ending the best, let me explain why. Of course, for Sean it's just unfair, devastating and he's not the same after 15 years in prison. On a question that keeps coming up as to why Sean ended up getting 15 years in prison: It's not because of the petty crimes that he once stole a car or stole camping gear. It's still down to Sean being the prime suspect for the dead cop early in the game. Sean is a fugitive and has never been able to prove his innocence, if Sean tried that he would have to betray Daniel. And there comes the point why I find this ending so poignant and the best at the end. Sean, with all his love and devotion, sacrifices himself for his little brother to give him life and enable a child to live. It's the best ending for Daniel. And one small scene that I find particularly strong and would like to highlight is that you can see that Sean is also obviously aware of his decision to turn himself in, as you can see Sean smile over at Daniel once more as he gets the handcuffs on. To signal Daniel: Everything will be fine, Enano. You'll see." Daniel doesn't understand this situation at the time, but after 15 years at the latest when Daniel gets into his car, he finally realizes what a great sacrifice Sean made for him. In this ending, Sean shows true greatness to me and is a hero (albeit tragically) to me as he acts with full devotion and for the good of his little brother. Plus in the end it's all back together and the brothers are exempt from punishment. Optionally, Lyla is still there. I admit that this is an ending where you look too much at Daniel and at some point you start questioning the whole journey. btw. This is also the ending that Gonzalo Martin (Voice Actor of Sean) prefers. I video chatted with him a few months ago. 😉 2nd place "Blood Brothers" ending (Low morale and crossing the border) The ending where you decide to break the barrier and Daniel agrees because you taught him to think of himself first. It's at least the best choice in a low morality ending and Daniel's performance in the border ending is so badass 🔥 And I would love that ending too if they make it to Mexico, but I'm having a hard time liking it since they ended up being criminals there over there, not living safely and ultimately living their life in Mexico on the basis that Daniel had to kill dozens of border guards. The only thing I can get here, at least they ended up together in Mexico and live a life in freedom, but unfortunately also in danger. And Daniel doesn't seem too happy about that in the scene where they both sit down on the beach. He seems thoughtful and doubts if this is the life he wanted with Sean. (My feeling) And like @Chloe said: ''What about cassidy,fin,penny,hanah,lyla,their granparents,mom,brody,jacob ?'' I admit I just don't want to see the brothers as criminals or live under those circumstances. Yes, it's true, the two brothers have experienced a lot of injustice first hand. But for what reason should the two do the same?! 3rd Place "Parting Ways" End (Good Morale and Cross Border): The ending where you decide to break the barrier and Daniel refuses because he has learned from you to act in an overall responsible manner. Since most of the time in this scenario you act as a moral example to Daniel, in the end Daniel doesn't understand why you make the immoral decision. Daniel never wanted an uncertain life in Mexico and now it is Daniel who recognizes this situation and sacrifices himself for Sean. He takes it into his own hands to enable Sean to live his life in freedom in Mexico. Daniel ultimately shows his powers to the border guards, but spares them (resulting in witnessing Daniel's powers and Daniel being monitored and wearing an ankle bracelet) They live apart (probably forever) as a result of Sean in the USA is still considered a fugitive and should no longer be seen there. And Daniel, in turn, is monitored by the state, using the ankle bracelet. But I don't think it's necessarily under house arrest the whole time, which you can see in the pictures before the end credits. He gets to visit his mother, hang out with Chris, gets his own car and can go to school as normal. After all, they both live (albeit restricted and separately) the life they both wanted. Both seems to most satisfied with this ending. 2 optional variants that Sean lives in Mexico with Cassidy or Finn, which makes it even happier for Sean and definitely the best ending for Sean. But in the end it breaks my heart that the two will probably live apart forever. That's why I can't really put up with it, even if it seems somehow happy. 4th place "Lone Wolf" ending (Low morale and surrender): The end where you surrender and Daniel refuses because he learned from you to think of himself first. Not surprising, but I don't think I need to go into too much detail about that, it's definitely the worst ending. Sean wants to face up to his responsibilities at the end (even though Sean was an immoral role model to Daniel in this scenario throughout the game) Consequently, Daniel doesn't understand Sean's actions and carries them out on his own, which then leads to Sean's death. Daniel then loses himself in Mexico, reaches Puerto Lobos, slips into crime and probably harbors eternal guilt over Sean's death. You can almost see the emptiness in Daniel as he walks down the beach. This ending is definitely (albeit well staged) the most devastating ending. Yeah, no ending is perfect 😭 Sorry I dragged it out too long 😅

@@RicoScheer I understand what you mean about the Redemption ending and of course it's your own opinion, which you are of course entitled to have. It's definitely good that Dontnod included this ending, especially since there are actual cases in the US of innocent non-whites going to prison for 10/15 years. The problem I have with the ending is what we don't see. Sean is convicted as a "cop killer" and is transferred to a regular prison after a year in juvenile detention. The prison guards will certainly not have been kind to him given the "crime" he allegedly committed. If other prisoners attacked, it can be assumed that they would not have intervened. When you take all that into account and think about what his time in prison, not graduating from, not having a job means for his future life, plus all the moments of Daniel he missed, like Daniel's graduation, first job, college, relationships, etc, also possibly the death of the grandparents, I simply have to describe this ending as the worst next to Lone Wolf!
