It most certainly is a burnout and they have been very vocal about that as well! They honestly hardly got a week off man, and they have been grinding since off season, hardest road at that. They fr deserve a break. I'm chill with them not making Shanghai. They have ample points for champs, can have a rest and come back swinging in stage 2. Obv them making Shanghai would be insane, but its fine eitherway.

Sentinels and Loud doing so bad in these tournament shows that the burnout is real. Classifing to a international feels like a punishment in the next split. This is highly dangerous for players mental health.

I think sen players are just burnt out. The format is so hectic that if you qualify for an international event then you get only 2 weeks off and others get months off.

burnout this early would be ridiculous, I mean come on. Yeah, it's hectic, and they played a lot at kick-off, but one masters event and they're finished? They're just off form, it happens

No, it's not that, in Valorant there are so many viable compositions, changes to agents and maps, that it is difficult for one team or player to dominate for long, the other NA teams have simply caught up with Sentinels. This already happened at the beginning of Valorant with 100T (Hiko, Nitr0, Steel era), Sentinels (Shahzam, Sick, Sinatraa era), Gambit, Optic...and many more examples, after winning a tournament it is simply difficult for them to continue dominating.

The people replying to you saying it's too early for burnout must not have ever performed in a top tier, highly competitive setting. These guys have been GRINDING since August of last year. Since acquiring JohnQT as their mystery IGL, to now, they have been doing nonstop scrims, offseason tournaments, and competing in the heaviest circuits to get through Madrid. Of course they're going through burnout. Its been 8 straight months of using their peak mental capacity. If you don't believe that burnout can happen during that time, you should look into focused vs diffused thinking. When you can't offload, you cannot be innovative. When you can't be innovative in Valorant, you lose out and burn out. None of this is new.

@@SlickyWickyy Ok then explain why GenG and PRX are performing so good after playing VCT Madrid then and Sentinels is looking way worse. Explain me how Faze Clan, Vitality, Navi, G2, ENCE and other CS teams play tournaments every week and they still perform at the top.

@@ReyL_TV The answer is that they weren't performing as good as Sentinels before Madrid? Hello? You can't just discount that they won an offseason tournament AND Madrid. During the offseason, GenG played two games, losing one of them to FUT. PRX was cycling between Jinggg and Monyet at AFTV. They were super experimental about it, obviously not investing as much as Sen were. PRX didn't win AFTV. Sentinels did. PRX and GenG didn't win Madrid. Sentinels did. Sentinels performed the best out of anyone until two weeks ago. There is no comparison to be made. You can completely disregard everything leading into Madrid, but that makes no sense when this conversation revolves around burnout. As far as your question about CS goes, the meta shifts in Valorant happen much more rapidly and with greater variance. It's the same comparison that's always been made. CS has always had superior mechanics, Val has had more variance in strategy because of the variety of util. Regardless of meta changes in CS, if you stay in form with your mechanics, you can muscle your way through with insane gameplay. Val is so anti-strat heavy that being at the top for as long as a group like sentinels is a huge detriment because you don't have time to recoup and reinvent. That's why there hasn't been any back to back winners in VCT. Fnatic couldn't do it either. I really don't understand your argument when all of this is just common knowledge.

They've had it rough man. Barely no time to rest, all the visa problems with johnqt giving them basically no time to scrim and work on additional strats; and that on top of every single enemy team having all the vods they need from sen to review how they play and counterstrat... I feel for them man.. half the people that say they support them will start shitting on them and asking for players to be removed
