The only problem with them just being friends is that sooner or later, one or both of them will find a serious romantic partner. When that happens, it will be a HUGE adjustment for them especially at their still relatively young age. Their chemistry could be irreparably damaged, as they will undoubtedly have to become more distant, with their partners becoming their priority when it comes to free time and emotional commitment. Of course, if they are a couple now, the opposite risk is there, where they could end up breaking up and then their partnership goes up in smoke. Enjoy the here and now, friends. Who knows what will happen to these two crazy kids in the future. The dream scenario, but the most unlikely is that they fall or remain in love and stay faithful and true to each other for the rest of their lives, with no huge problems that could threaten their relationship or their chemistry.

I hear you but don’t think that the dream scenario is highly unlikely, it is honestly just as likely as all the other ones. A strong friendship - which these two appear to have - is often the foundation for a healthy long-term committed relationship...but I agree, let’s enjoy these two amazing artists and the precious moments that they do share with us here and now :)

I also want to add that as long as Sean and Kaycee make a commitment to each other as dance partners, continue producing their art, and staying as good friends, they can continue on like this even if they do end up with different romantic partners. I think this is a common thing for a lot of partner work in dance or sports like pair skating or ice dancing. An example would be like ice skaters Meryl Davis and Charlie White, who have undeniable chemistry on the ice, but each has their own significant other off the ice. There's a unique bond that artistic/performance partners develop after spending so much time with each other. That bond doesn't necessarily have to be affected by having other romantic partners as long as both are on the same page. Though, one thing that I could see really complicating things and affecting their partnership is if one does have feelings and the other doesn't. But the other possibilities are that they both will stay as friends or maybe develop into something more (both of which wouldn't have to affect their partnership). They are still young and may not have to face this issue for awhile. I do agree that this is a special time in their friendship. I really love and appreciate what they've made together, and hope they'll continue to do so for a long time!
