The question is not even about fairness here. Allowing a fight like this is reckless. I felt so bad when Celine spit up blood at the end. Bone density is real, Alana could take so many punches to the head, but it only took one from her to fracture the skull of Celine. If they keep letting such fights happen someone will eventually get permanently hurt or worse.

It will be good for the sport itself to have a healthy discussion over the place of trans atheletes. I totally support transgender people, competition is the only area where they need to realize they have an unfair advantage. Obviously just physical competition, but still an unfair advantage the same as if sean went into a fight against a guy wearing padding on his head because he likes it. Its an unfair advantage. It does suck to see people hate on transgender people though, the only thing to discuss is whether dignifying them with entry into competitions is worth creating an unfair competitive atmosphere for other people.

It's a real slippery slope man. I believe in the inclusion of trans people and I fully believe they deserve the same respect as anyone else, but when it comes to sports.....idk man it just doesn't seem fair. But thats only from the perspective of trans women competing....because if you look at a trans man, you would say they need to fight against men, so it's almost this weird catch-22. The question here isn't even about fairness, it is about the safety of the competitors. If they keep letting such fights happen, someone might eventually sustain permanent injury or worse. I am also happy I don't have to make such decisions, but I don't think it is a catch 22 morally. No one wants to upset trans people but we can't let someone get seriously hurt or worse in the octogon.

the woman won the first rounds because she was a better fighter, she was sharper and had way better technique but that couldn't overcome the physical strength and endurance of Alana. Thats why people are mad, it looked like Provost was fighting a terminator

I think the problem is, where the core of strength was developed. Male hormones bone density initial strengths pushes the body limits higher. Now when the replacement hormones come in and again that's science interpretation of what a woman is there's still a lot more hormones and processes from the liver that are still unknown. Yes the body gets weaker but the body has a higher muscle memory indexed than any other woman with similar training that did not have the advantage of a core built as a man. This is the problem with this sport and allowing transgender to fight equally to whatever sex with the core building disadvantage.

Hey I have an idea for this predicament. What if they allowed people to transition but still had them fight in male or female category, based upon their birth? I don't know man.
