And I also highly regard Daniel Day Lewis as an actor. But I would say Sean body of work and diversity of roles puts him on top. Powerhouse performances is what Sean always puts in. Clint Eastwood, Roger Ebert have defined him as the best actor of his generation.

The point is that while of course there were some great car chases after "Bullitt," perhaps better than the one in "Bullitt," the idea of a "car chase" inspired by that film eventually became too much of a cliche.
