While the khabibs were wrestling with daddy at 7-18 years old and being trained professionally, these guys were barely surviving without even a glimmer of hope. @MrBenski19828 ай бұрын
Doesn't JD have an injured knee? I'm not saying he would have been a world class BJJ fighter or anything but this did hold him back. To say "those who can't do teach" has some truth to it but it also speaks poorly of all the amazing teachers and coaches out there. Only a handful of people in any discipline reach the top and very few, if any, are truly self made.You need talent, coaching, luck and inner strength to be great. In a sense, the stars have to align to produce greatness. The amount of help and coaching it takes to create a world class athlete is substantial. It takes a village to raise a child and it takes a lot of time and energy given by great coaches to help create a great fighter. Most fighters wouldn't be where they are if not for meeting other amazing human beings and coaches. People who say, "those who can't do teach", are generally bitter and resentful at their own lack of talent and failures and use this ignorant line to bring other people down. Teaching is an art in it's own right. Who's greater? The fighter that reaches the top or the coach who helps create many great fighters? If you're obsessed with something that truly brings you joy and really helps others I'd say you're easily doing more good than harm by doing what you love. SD strikes me as on the spectrum, which would explain some of his behaviour. He is an absolute treasure. Probably, don't wear a rash-shirt to a wedding though haha Most of the people that dis' JD would get tapped TFO by him in seconds only to come back to consciousness and see that famous green rash-shirt and bald head looking down at them hahaha Now that's some true shit...

He clearly made a point. JD is a weirdo who never had a professional fight. He is a BJJ guy like Eddie bravo and he would definitely get fvcked if he ever stepped in the octagon against high level MMA fighters. He is basically what Dillon Danis is in MMA community, best known for being GSP's BJJ coaches like Danis is for Conor.
@jessebunuel20739 ай бұрын
@@mags6946 He didn’t ‘clearly’ make a point, he stumbled through a monologue about John being a weirdo (which everyone is already clearly aware of, dude acts like a reptile) and called him a clown because ??? what? Because he ‘manipulates’ people? By doing what? Being fuckin weird? He cares about BJJ and little else and that’s fine. He doesn’t need to be an MMA fighter because that’s not his fuckin job. He teaches BJJ, tries to grow it as a combat sport and happened to coach arguably the best or second best MMA fighter of all time as a nice bonus. Sean doesn’t have a point; he has a feeling, a dislike of John, and that’s fine.
@mags69469 ай бұрын
@@jessebunuel2073Strickland is telling it from a perspective of a professional mixed martial artist. JD is basically Dillon Danis without a pro fight. A person with no filter will say he a clown, he has no profights and an average UFC fighters would wreck him in an MMA fight. You have to be able to view it in Strickland's perspective.
@mags69469 ай бұрын
@@jessebunuel2073 dude wears rashguard in formal events like award ceremonies and weddings. Cool. You saying Strickland has no point and bring up GSP as if he is known for his BJJ lol. GSP is more of a wrestler/striker and JD worshippers act like his name should be mentioned next to GSP. Strickland sees it that way. JD is someone who never fought professionally, his worshippers attach his name to a great fighter who is a wrestler/striker to point out how great he is.
@jessebunuel20739 ай бұрын
@@mags6946 I said he coached GSP as a nice bonus, dude. But while we’re talking about him, you know that Danaher cornered GSP against BJ Penn right? He directed him to focus on taking down Penn, something the rest of the corner was against, and which ultimately snagged GSP the fight. Remind me again, what exactly makes him a clown? Even from Strickland’s perspective? Danaher has never claimed to be an MMA fighter, so why would it matter whatsoever that he hasn’t had an MMA fight? Most people on the face of the Earth haven’t had a pro MMA fight. He does what it says on the tin; he coaches BJJ, and he doesn’t claim to be anything except what he is. Nothing about that suggests that he’s a clown.
