Yes that's an important one! Double check it when you plug in at the venue, you need to re-set it for each new display. It is tied to the output device not the output itself, so always add that to your setup checklist at every gig.

Great interview! I recently got into analog video mixing over the summer after watching friends play around with feedback loops while Vjing. Been spending more time in Resolume and Touch Designer and hope to grab more analog gear to aid the digital.

Thanks! I have a video about things to consider when looking for a VJ Laptop. I generally suggest the brands Sager, Alienware, Asus, MSI, Razer, or other gaming laptops. Get the most powerful GPU, CPU, and RAM you can afford, with plenty of storage, a few output ports, and good cooling. You dont need to go crazy to start, especially if you arent sure you will stick with it. Recommended minimum specs below, but if you can afford it you will future-proof yourself for a few more years by leveling everything up. Windows Windows 10 i7 Processor, 6 core, 3.7 GHz Nvidia RTX 2070 M2 SSD 16 GB Ram macOS MacOS Version 12 Monteray i7 Processor, 6 core, 2.6 GHz Radeon Pro 560X SSD 16 GB Ram

Macbooks are just not vor Vjing as they too easyli overheat.

Yeah they were fine at the start of my career but eventually they stopped being able to handle multi-output gigs and hot outdoor shows. And recently they have been buggy with resolume. Still have one around for ShowKontrol but thats it now. PC all day
