The Venom trilogy is an interesting one to look at because each entry has come out in a different era where CBMs were treated differently. Venom (2018) was, overall, a low quality film but because the public has never seen a Venom solo film + IW/EG era of CBMs pretty much gave a free boost to every Marvel/DC CBM in 2018 and 2019= Venom made 856mil. Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) was of even lower quality but came out during covid era when not all cinemas internationally were open. So an accurate BO number will never be discovered because its profit potential was hindered. The film made 506mil. Venom: The Last Dance (2024) will launch post-Covid and when all cinemas are open worldwide but also during a time when low quality CBMs (Morbius (2022), Antman Quantumania (2023), The Marvels (2023), Blue Beetle (2023), Shazam Fury of the Gods (2023), Aquaman Lost Kingdom (2022), The Flash (2023), Madame Web (2024)) get body slammed at the BO harder than pre-Covid era. If the film is of quality, post-covid era has shown it will be rewarded will good BO. This film will be very interesting to track.

I fail to understand how Sony continues to make these films so uninteresting! They have all the ingredients to make these films really stand out. They literally have Tom Hardy. TOM HARDY! Venom is one of the best Marvel characters. But Sony seems to lack a vision for this Spider-Man Universe But Without Spider-Man! I will still see it because I mildly enjoyed the previous Venom films but I just want Sony to put an end to this unnecessary franchise.

I am seriously thinking we may get a movie either in the Sony-Verse or the MCU where Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Tom Hardy’s Venom fight each other because, we kind of got that teased at the end of No Way Home so, when he said this is the end of the trilogy, I think he truly meant the end of the “trilogy” not necessarily that he wouldn’t come back in a spider-man movie to fight the web slinger because, even in marketing for this movie, he has said that’s something he’d love to do, so as long as the opportunities align scheduling wise, I don’t see why he wouldn’t come back to do that but, not necessarily a 4th Venom film, however that’s just my thoughts on the matter.

Part of me wants to watch this cuz I seen the first 2 so I feel I should at least wrap it up with this, but part of me also doesn’t as I didn’t enjoy the first 2, especially the 2nd. Also I tried watching this trailer earlier but I stopped once I heard the cliche 80’s pop song with EPIC bass and it just felt like every other movie trailer. So tiring, that only ever worked for the guardians movies because part of quills character is that he grew up on old music and used it as a coping mechanism whenever his life went downhill. I am probably in a minority but I'm glad that this Venom and MCU Spider man won't meet. It's just not the exciting thing to do. What makes Venom and Spider man work is the connection. It would just me a buddy cop team up film with two characters that never met before . I personally want less symbiotes and cosmic stuff and more standard supervillain of the week Spider Man stuff. But that's just me

Honestly when it comes to the Venom movies, the trailer always looks better. They trick you into think the movie will be dark, serious and good but the final product becomes quite the opposite. They play it safe that's why the first 2 Venom movies are sudpar.
