Just don't stick any 7s or 13s in A minor, or you'll find yourself in some major trouble

I have to admit playing unusual and jazzy chords is impressive sounding. Thanks for showing how to understand them and put them into a progression. Keep 'em coming!

0:55 - 1:15 -- I have never heard it explained so easily. **Mind Blown** and now it all makes sense... ok, maybe not all :-) Great little lesson. thanks.

Hey Sean, would love to see a lesson on some basic Funky chords, that works both for electric with some OD, but also work for acoustic - So u can get some ppl on the dancefloor, even when its just u with a guitar.

One of the most oblique intros. Question: do you do any warmup hand exercises before practicing or a show?

Ever thought about doing videos for song tutorials? Blackbird by the Beatles would be great! Like a side channel possibly.

this chord sounds like the very beginning of Serve the Servants by Nirvana ... except you're playing it several steps down obviously.

Couldn't you just call it A13 since the 13 implies that there's a flat 7 in it?
@TheSammyreynolds
@TheSammyreynolds 5 жыл бұрын
basically you're playing an A13 without a 5th. On a chord chart it would be still called an A13 but with no 5th or as written on a chord chart A13 (no5)
@richardbekking
@richardbekking 5 жыл бұрын
As I understand music theory, one would only call it A13 if it included a b7, 9 and 11. If you leave any of these scale degrees out (as you do on guitar), you would be adding a 13 to whatever chord you had before, hence calling it "add 13"
@Oberkobold
@Oberkobold 5 жыл бұрын
@@TheSammyreynolds I don't think that would make a difference since in that case the A7add13 would also have to be written as A7add13 (no5)
@Oberkobold

@@richardbekking Oh yeah, that's it! You're right. I forgot that it's not only the 9th that gets added. Thanks!
