Another spontaneous decision led us to Yomiuriland, home to Bandit, the TOGO coaster that inspired the creation of many well known rides like Magnum XL-200 at Cedar Point in Ohio. Our park visits didn't stop there as the next morning we opted to visit Legoland Japan, a park that none of us had visited. We ended the day at the beautiful Nagoya Castle. Joining us on this day was our new friends (Larry, Jean, Arnold, Joey and Emma). Correct date of recording was June 30th, not the 29th as stated at start of video.

Ha ha. What a soggy day that was. Even though I wasn't feeling the best, I am glad I went to Legoland. I didn't even record us riding the larger coaster as we rode in a downpour. Fun times!

Man, you're making me want to go back to Japan! Best part of any Legoland is the models. Supposedly their bringing that giant Gundam to the Expo

I am so out of the Lego world that I wasn’t aware that Japan had a Legoland until we were starting the trip. It wasn’t part of the original plans. The models are incredible.

Lol, didn't realize you caught me aggressively telling my phone to stop focusing on the raindrops at 11:10 😆. Man, I almost didn't remember just how bad the weather got because of how fun the day turned out. I was beyond glad with how receptive the group was to visiting the castle since one of my biggest regrets from my last major international trip was not seeing enough cultural sites; these kinds of days really made the trip stand out for me! Fantastic video as always that really captured the joy of the day (even with you being a bit under the weather). Can't believe you didn't capture any footage of the donkey ride, best ride in Nagoya for sure 🤣!

Oir guteral grows can be heard a few times in these videos. People must think we are insane or something when they hear that. Lol. I agree with you in that days like these were what made the trip. We made the absolute best out of any scenario. I really do wish I could have captured at least one POV of the Donkey ride. It was so emotional. Everyone left laughing or crying. It was well worth the extra cost and I would be happy to pay it again. Why aren’t more of those put in parks in the states? Huge missed opportunity. Don’t parks pay attention to what its hot at IIAPPA anymore. Those rides were the hit of the show and I must have seen sixty videos online hyping up the ride for years. I am just finally glad I got to add the experience to my “ride career” as it was sorely missing. Let’s go back and ride again!

Love when you give us a glimpse of the various hotels that you stayed in. Man that first one had a lot of floors. But it looked nice and clean. Bandit looked mean but epic. Too bad that Anthony got beat up on it. When all four of you give thumbs up for any of the coasters {Space Factory} I make a note of it. I never even heard of it before now. Sounds like the Splashing UFO River Rapid let you all enjoy a ride together. You cannot really do that on any coasters because of the seating. But being able to ride four of you at once was very cool. Nice to hear that the Dragon Coaster at Legoland was built after the legendary Dragon Coaster at Rye Playland. I loved that mini-city at Legoland. Excellent advice at the end. Life is too short. That was a perfect idea to end the day at Nagoya Castle. Shouts to Marty, Vince and Anthony. I appreciated their inputs and thumbs ups. Onto part nine. I don't know yet Sean. But this is slowly becoming my favorite Japan series to date. Absolutely fantastic shooting Sean~ Rob/Boston

All the hotels we stayed at on this tour were very clean and comfortable. The rooms got a bit larger as the trip went on. We ended up staying at this first hotel at the end of the trip. The UFO raft ride is incredibly fun to ride. So many surprises and easily the most intense raft ride I have ridden at a park. I think you may be confusing the Dragon coaster at Playland with the Dragon model found at Legoland New York. The Legoland one was built by Vekoma. Fun ride in Japan. Haven't ridden the NY version yet. There is another, larger coaster at Legoland Japan that I didn't record as we rode it in a downpour. Thanks for watching, Rob!

Did you ride Pyrenees on this trip?

Yes. It’s in the next part. To be honest, I only took one ride on it as I got thrashed. I rode in the second row and got one of the roughest inverted coaster rides I have ever taken. The rest of the group took multiple rides. Pretty bummed I got a bad ride on it as I marathoned on it in 2005.

1:07 I love how the tap (faucet) works for both the sink and the bath, you have to slide it across LOL. Did you try out an Onsen while in Japan?

It was kind of strange to get used to but once I understood the faucett, it was pretty easy. Didn’t try Onsen. Anthony tried to go in one but they wouldn’t allow him inside once they saw he had a tattoo.

This was the day that we went to nagashima and somehow managed to get 10 rain rides on hakugei and not much else lol. I'd consider it a success though

We went to Nagashima on a super hot day with no rain and there wasn’t a lot of people at the park. I only rode a couple of things but thought about marathoning a couple coasters but the heat took its toll on me.
