Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Reverse Grinch": Review & On-Feet

Following the protro release of the original "Grinch" Nike Kobe 6 in 2021, Nike Basketball followed it up with a "Reverse Grinch" colourway that released last week. Swapping the original colours, the signature green upper is now red, while red accents and laces are now a vibrant electric green shade. Not hard at all. If you put on a matching fire red colored shirt, you can wear just about any pants color. Or imagine how they’d look with a white hoodie, grey pants and the red Kobe’s. Not hard

Hey Sean, great review as always. In terms of sizing, unless you have very narrow feet I’d recommend going up half a size even for playing ball, especially if you wear elite socks or other basketball socks. I have slightly wider feet and even going up half a size, there is still quite a bit of pressure and discomfort during the break in period. The protros fit a lot tighter than the OG because it has thicker zoom unit and denser foam, so the inside of the shoe feels smaller on the foot. Shoe sizes are generally measured from the outsole length, not how they fit on the inside!

I had bought the 2020 Grinches, and I sadly had to get rid of them. I bought them in a size 10, and they didn't fit at all. I stupidly ended up letting them go. Fast foward to today, I missed on the shock drop, but I was lucky enough to get Exclusive Access even though i Had bought the Kobe 8 Halos in August. I bought them again in a size 10. This time they fit perfect. I've worn them about 5-6 times. They're really comfortable to me. I'm a teacher, so I've been wearing them with Christmas themed t shirts and brown pants. They look great to me. I think the sizing working out this time was due to me losing over 25 pounds from 2020. If only i had kept the OGs n the collection back then....

@@nniivekkappo7544 for this Reverse pair I went size 10. I do have wide feet. To make matters worse, my left foot measures 9.5 and my left measures 9. I usually got size 10 for Kobe’s. They end up being a little longer than I’d like, but they not too tight. The 6s are pretty snug. Even as a 10.

May someone tell me why the original Grinch pair was hyped up a few years back? Because there weren't many neon colored sneakers at that time? I'm not hating on the shoes, I'm just asking honestly cause I'm not really informed on basketball shoes. And it's rare to see a pair of modern basketball sneakers got that much attention, since most of the time people just look for retro Jordan models

For the Kobe Protro 4 which is comming : Comparing against Kobe 6 & 8 protro? Should I get the same size on this Kobe 4 protro? I go half size up (I use US 12 in almost every Jordan or Nike) and in Kobes the 12.5 is perfect. When I tried the US12 it fitted me short on the toe, I need that 0,5 cm of extra lenght. Should I do the same for the 4s protro? Thanks a lot in advance
