Hey Sean, I’m from the UK, the pair I received was close to flawless- no issues with paint, loose threads or mangled creasing. Maybe we got lucky. Great shoe, the volt midsole along with the 3:26 branding on tongue just makes this shoe feel that much more special. Great review as always sir, always appreciated the honesty from your side.

I had given up on owning these. Then the other day I felt an urge to ask my friend to take me to the nearest outlet. Didn’t expect anything but had a weird feeling I’d find something. And as a walk the aisle what do I see? Yep, the air max 1 volts!! I couldn’t believe it! I asked a guy working there if they had defects but no. They just got a small shipment in. Wow that was a cool day! I really had given up on them! (I don’t buy resell atm). Obv love the shoe. My right pair was slightly creased in the toe box mesh area. I guess a common complaint. Anyway! Chuffed to bits. They were half price too! Peace, Sean! Thanks for all the hard work!

Great detailed review as always Sean 👏🏾. However I think your description of “mangled, ugly, gross toe box” was a little over the top and had me laughing out loud! 🤣 On my pair the left shoe was slightly creased which was annoying. I stuffed them and they’ll be fine. I love the colourway and prefer it to my OG red volt pair.

Gave a pass on the Dn's and got these instead with the white midsole💙🤍Didn't have any issues with uneven wrinkles on L/R sneaker.. the Nike Field General 82's though terribly wrinkles like a piece of paper and I usually don't mind wrinkles or creasing but that one is quite bad.

Didn't pick up this pair as the volt midsole wasn't for me, but I did get the GR white/royal pair directly from SNKRS and I have the exact same issue with wrinkling on the right shoe's toebox. Pretty disappointing, but over time the shoe was bound to crease anyway so I'll be rocking them as-is.

I think the volt midsole works better with the Royal blue imo . The reds OG with the volt were not exactly easy to get at least in the uk . Instore only smaller sizes were sitting from what I can recall . Glad I copped these because I was unsuccessful with the reds back then .

Yeah the quality control is definitely declining. I didn’t get these but my Craft Ivory 3s were terrible out of the box. They looked like they had been run over multiple times by a bulldozer with chain tires.

My pair of Royal Blues were so botched that I returned them within an hour. Shameful and intolerable of Nike to sell this type of product. Quality control leaves more and more to be desired🤬

I’d say these. My bacons had some blue markings but at least they could be rubbed off. These seem like a structural build issue

I got these and although mine weren't creased, the shape just felt extremely sloppy overall. This, combined with the sad materials caused me to oop them to someone else. I still think the colorway is fantastic though.
