This voice cast actually is done by the usual real deal modern Looney Tunes voice actors of the time, not backup actors: Joe Alaskey, Bob Bergen, Greg Burson and Maurice LaMarche. All of which who voiced these characters in numerous projects respectively from the 1990s onwards

Not the game itself, but the soundtrack. At the time of release, the funk/jazz styled soundtrack was touted as a negative in reviews for being unfitting for a Looney Tunes game. However, fans generally like the soundtrack for being well-composed and memorable and it's generally remembered as one of the positive aspects of the game. Which actually the best part because how it mostly don’t belong in Looney tunes games

We must be around the same age, Space Jam was my favorite movie for the longest time and also got me into a basketball phase for a minute as a child. I even played the Space Jam game in the computer lab at my school, wonder how different it is from the one you played. I first learned about this game through songs being on DNB mixes by channels like Camaz and ryland kurshenoff. Assumed game itself wasn't that great since licensed games aren't always the best. But happy I was looking through your channel and saw this because it not only has a banging ost but looks very fun. As a kid who mainly played Nintendo games and not much from ps1 I enjoy your vids a lot, thank you Sean Seanson for turning me onto a lot of gems!

I've yet to play this, but I have played both Bugs Bunny: Lost In Time, and Looney Tunes Racing to full completion. The former is an okay 3D platformer with a lot of great levels, but disappointingly is held back by clunky jumping and especially Spyro 2 inspired game design of wasting the player's time via constant backtracking and retreading of old ground, making for a game that starts great and ends well, but is just a chore to play during the middle portion. The latter is a decent kart racer that has aged better than Mario Kart 64, but lacks the substance and variety that made Diddy Kong Racing and Crash Team Racing the highly acclaimed games they were and still are. Overall, good children's games, but like the first Harry Potter game it doesn't take long for the cracks to start affecting the fun factor. I haven't played too much of Bugs and Taz, but from what I have it does feel better to play than Lost In Time, but the level design isn't as imaginative by comparison. I could be proven wrong later, but it's not exactly scratching the right areas like The Emperor's New Groove and Spyro 3 did the same year, though it's certainly more polished and less infuriating than Nasira's Revenge. Enjoying the video. I think I'll pick it up soon. In the meantime I'm just getting my hands on Hercules and Atlantis on PS1.

Time Busters aged a *lot* better than Lost in Time. I tried both back then and I just couldn’t really stomach Lost in Time sadly despite all my nostalgia tied to it. Time Busters however is still perfectly playable and enjoyable to this day IMO.

I feel like the 2001 release date really hurt this one and since there's no sequel it probably only sold modestly at best: the PS2 was available worldwide by the end of 2000 and even Sony's own Legend of Dragoon suffered for it getting overshadowed by releasing in NA only 2 months before the PS2's launch (and even later in EU, 2001!)

I remember this game getting high praise when it dropped. Which always seemed odd to me because licensed games were already a renown dumpster fire at that point. Even the more jokey rags I read at the time gave it glowing remarks. I can see why now, a singularly focused game with a playful theme and a lot of soul. Shame I have to experience it late on an emulator, but better than never at all.

Rewatching this and I forgot how simultaneously hilarious and incredible the contrast is between the game pretty much 100% nailing the Looney Tunes vibes and the game pairing this with goddamn drum and bass. The fact that said drum and bass is so top-class just makes it funnier, like they just made this absolutely bizarre choice and just made it work by sheer virtue of Caspar bringing his A-game to it. I wouldn't have it any other way. (Also, revisiting this made me realize the ghost level song is used in Ring Racers - I forget which level exactly, but just goes to show how damn good that track is.)

People may be off put by the graphics and jankyness of this game but I can tell you that when the PS1 came out it was literally mind blowing, a game station that could play music CDs and real 3d graphics , wowzers ! Just a decade before this people were still using the NES and I still was using this as the SNES was not that much of an improvement and I didn't see a reason to get rid of my NES as Kirby, DR Mario, Super Mario, link, Metal Gear, zelda, Megaman, Punchout, Qix , TMNT, Paperboy, Castlevania, Tetris (tengen version is best version), Ghosts and Goblins, Klax, Jackle, Contra and many, many others I still played frequently and you could get the games reasonably cheap plus all of the older games from arcades and other consoles like Atari-Intellivision-Coleco were being ported to the NES. I wanted so badly for the 3 Dungeons and Dragons games from the Intellivison to be ported to the NES .

If you can get it for a decent price definately take a chance on it! I'd say all the infogrames looney tunes games are worth a punt. Kart Racer is a fun time. I think Lost in Time is probably the weakest but it's still a solid mid-tier mascot platformer IMO. Time Busters is probably the best traditional platformer. The fact you can play the entire game in co-op made it one of the most memorable games of the era for me, still not that many other 3D platformers that let you do that.
@InsidiousOne2 жыл бұрын
@@SeanSeanson I gotta disagree. Time Busters is a fine game, but it is leaning into the puzzle/platformer territory, Lost in Time is way more fun as a platformer experience. Sure, it's easy, but it's a kids game first. Also, Lost in Time's visuals are so vibrant and colorful, Time Busters feels like a downgrade - it feels muted and generally less cartoony.

Second Comment: I've recently revisited the PS1 Looney Tunes games, though I've still yet to play 'Sheep Dog & Wolf'. Playing these games has been rather underwhelming. I still stand by what I said about 'Bugs Bunny Lost In Time' and 'Looney Tunes Racing' only now the poor design choices of the former are problematic enough to ruin most of the fun factor, and the latter has barely any content to the point it becomes forgettable after two hours. Bugs & Taz I've played more than half of as of now, and it's not doing anything for me. It feels much better to play than its predecessor, and I didn't come across any padding that's potentially game breaking so far, but so much of the levels just boil down to roaming around flat and empty environments that don't scale well with the movement speed of the main duo, and the challenges themselves are very basic and sometimes hardly interesting, like pushing blocks in their rightful places. For everything I don't like about Lost In Time, the levels generally did a good job engaging the player with snappy and well paced obstacle challenges, making even the most basic ones an amusing distraction. I don't want to take your potential love for the game away, since that would be condescending of me to do, but playing games like this can make my general love for collectathon-action-platformers look questionable, which is only proven wrong upon replaying one that's genuinely fun like Mario 64, Spyro 3, Banjo Kazooie, or the Pixar movie tie-in games by Traveller's Tales. Hopefully 'Sheep Dog & Wolf' can be to PS1 Looney Tunes what Warped was to Crash Bandicoot. Provide a fun, captivating and potentially innovative experience that avoids the trappings of its predecessors. Seeing as it's made by a different developer, and considering A2M's next game was the terrible PS1 Monsters Inc. game, I have my hopes up this will be good. Oh, and this video is still entertaining despite having already seen it before.
