No problem thought watching cutting the chips wasn't what people wanted to watch ;-)

I got one of these yesterday with a give back guarantee if I didn't like it so couldn't miss it. I cooked chips I. It and I honestly have to say they were so nice. Crispy outside and fluffy inside and didn't taste oily. Oven chips are always dry for and won't be using them Again. Two potatoes did enough for two people which is a silly small amount. Having the grandparents round later and will be making more ;) and it's good for your heart too compared to fryers and cleaner. Definitely would recommend it.

Hello there Sean. I'm curious about the smell, because usually deep fried potatoes along with boiling oil make a lot of fried smell that can get into your clothes if you are staying nearby them. How does the Actifry perform in this direction? Does it fill your kitchen with fried smell or not? :D

+Buga Vlad Antoniu I've got one of these at home and the smell is negligible, So no Oily smell just lovely cooked chips. I also add some Swartz Chip Seasoning and its just like any other kind of cooking. Just smells great without that greasy oily frying smell you can get with conventional frying

one thing to add if you use the 1 cal spray the chips would be 1% fat instead if 3% with a teaspoon of oil :)

I was considering buying one of these but I'm not sure it's worth the money. Would making it in the oven taste the same? I don't see how it would be any different.

Sounds like an airplane. Did it at least taste better than oil fried chips?

My friend I will gladly send you olive oil from Crete, a gift from God, because I see that you find it difficult to make real fries. That thing you are trying to cook is an immitation. You can't even make a proper salad with so little oil, not fries.

very helpful vídeo, I decide not buy it. spend a lot of energy, 45 min it's to much time for a french fríes. low carbs but high energy consumed. also very noisy

It's healthy, but 45 min!!!!
@SeanTuckerChooboo8 жыл бұрын
+jahlove111 I've got one at home and I find about 30 - 35 mins does the trick I think i was being a little conservative here

So none of you get the scam?? I make my french fries /chips/ in my fryer, if you wish with paprika and garlic. It takes 3 - three - minutes from I take the fries from deep frozen in the fridge, to my fries are served on the plate. This Tefal scam uses 45 - fortyfive - minutes to make something soggy look a like "fries". There are other ways of reducing you intake of fat. Just stick to a traditional fryer, just use some proper oil like peanut oil. Make some decent dinner, these 45 min is waste of time, plan a good salmaon dish instead and fry your fries in a proper fryer while that fish simmer in the oven for 25 mins.

The point is with the Actifry you use little oil and you actually cannot taste the oil in the foods you cook with it. Sure french fries cooked in a deep fryer come out in minutes but its all drench in oil regardless. Not to mention all the saving $$ in oil!
@SeanTuckerChooboo10 жыл бұрын
And since its in a kind of teflo pot you can add all sorts of other goodies. I guess its horses for courses and I will admit I wasn't sure what to expect having experienced the 'home cooked' chip before. But there turned out great and all and sundry around me wanted in on some chip munching with no negative comments. Its not much worse in terms of time for instance baking chips from the freezer takes me about 30 mins but they are drenched in fat.
@richardmather84459 жыл бұрын
cos its healthier doesn't take a scientist to work that out and been proven only. 3% fat and not 70 % in a fyer
