Search for Summer: At 125 Ben Hill With Andy Bernard And Rockin Robin

This week we received permission from Andy Bernard to visit with him at 125 Ben Hill Road to search the entire property. In addition to searching around and under anything suspicious, we also walked the entire ridge that's part of this property to get to the point across from Beech Creek where Jen mentioned sensing something nearby.
During the editing process, we spotted a few areas worth exploring further, which Andy has said he's happy to do but would prefer to return with us as a witness, so we'll be returning to the property again together soon.
We want to thank The Real Rockin Robin and her husband for assisting us with this location search, and thank Andy for opening up his property to us and allowing us to search anywhere on the property we wanted to.

My great Aunt and Uncle lived on a farm. No electricity, no plumbing. They had a well, an out house and wood burning stove. Lived off the land and worked hard all their lives. We’d go visit and stay a week or 2 and fix things they needed or bring things for them. I have lots of memories on that property. I remember the snakes, bees and bats when I’d go to the out house. At night I was afraid to go out so we went to the bathroom in jars and dump them in the out house in the morning. Good times.

We used to go camping when we were teenagers with a couple of ladies that owned a property. I'm really not sure how the pairing came about, but the ladies were really nice. Anyhow, the property didn't have electric or anything there was no power close to the house. They had an outhouse to use for the restroom. We used to tie our milk and 2 l to strings and put them in the natural spring that ran on the property. There was a lot of caves on the property, we actually went spelunking why we were there. It was a lot of fun though, I just don't miss the outhouse. Could do without the electricity sometime and being unplugged.

Just from personal experience, Summer would have found it nearly impossible to get to that barn from the woods. She disappeared in early summer and all the trees and vines would have been alive and filled out, concealing the treacherous terrain. She would not have gotten far at all in the subtropical woods around her house, dog trails or not. It was a good idea but not likely. On a lighter note, I was wondering what happened to my Jeep Cherokee and now I know. I see the chrome grill still shines.. P.S. Can somebody tell me why there are often two seats in an outhouse? I have been contemplating this since the first time I had to use one as a child....and thank God it has been a while since then...

We spent 3 hours searching through things - I thought it would be obvious to viewers that 3 hours compressed into a 40 minute video, with 20-30 minutes of that comprised of snippets of searching, doesn't not portray everything we searched through. Those were words Andy had mentioned when referring to who he believes typically goes on the property (when he wasn't away, prior to early 2023) when Andy isn't there, and yes I assumed he was guessing based on past experience living on the property. Even on the day we were there Fred was poking around with Kathy getting video of Rockin Robin and Andy's cars so he could send them off to get put on on KZbin. That seems to me to fit a pattern.

Thanks, yeah that was the last thing. Initially it was talking to the owner of Hayworth Tire personally and asking about whether was really there all day and if the surveillance tapes were provided to TBI, the fact that law enforcement has never followed up to question him again, and other locals who know Andy personally speaking about his character. It was really a collection of information gathered over time.

This has been a case I’ve lost sleep over. Thinking what if what if. One of the most what if’s. We had more search parties going through all mountain areas. I love local and would search like everyone else for free. I just want this poor little angel found! The ones whom don’t allow searching on they properties have stuff to hide. Looked and smelled only like a rain-filled compost container and the vegetation-only content at the bottom seemed to confirm that. There's a very big difference between the smell of rotted vegetation and the smell of....well you know...lol. But I do know it's an easy mistake to make if you can only see it and without being there. You're right though it still would have been an easy place to hide something small.

The guy seemed pretty genuine too. He was in very poor health and it's pretty sad that he was run off his property and doesnt feel able or willing to return. He lost most if not all of his retirement money on it. The timing of him being forced off, the night previous, is pretty suspicious too, on them not him! Please ask Don B if he can ask him. JD was blasted under public scrutiny very early on but Don B treated him with respect and integrity so was the only one who managed to gain his trust for an interview.

Excellent Video - I have been very curious about what the Bernard house/property looked like. I could spend a week+ digging around that property! Too bad you can't search 110 Ben Hill like you did this property. Interestingly, there was also a red barrel on the Bernard's property, similar to the one on the Wells' property.

Same! I also noticed a few areas while editing that I'm curious to look further into and Andy was 100% supportive. We did look in the barrels - they're either the kind with the welded/sealed top and only a spout, or empty and/or rainwater and nothing at the bottom.

In this type of environment, the only way to have found her is with dogs. There’s so much trash and used to travel. Love what you guys are doing. Wish a company with dogs could come in with ya

Agreed, chances would be much higher and we've been working on it. Moon may be trained up some day but that'll be a while. As you could hear Robin repeating often we were looking for mounds, depressions, patterns in ground growth changes, and of course looking in, under, and around things for over 3 hours. Next time I may use time-lapse video so people can actually see the entire process because I didn't realize people would watch 20-30 minutes of clips and actually think that's all we did.

Ryan, do any of your followers no anyone who has a cadaver dog? Maybe they would schedule a time to go with you? Just a thought. My niece in Wisconsin has 2 search and rescue dogs, She stays in touch with most of the other people who took the classes when she did, with their dogs. They travel alot to get their dogs trained and certified recertified and they pay for it all themselves. They do that just in case some day there dog might help find somebody's loved one. It's all from the heart.❤

Fred hasn't been in jail between the time the property was abandoned and he eventually went to jail in 2023. That's what I assumed Andy was talking about when he mentioned that suspicion. I honestly don't know who added to the trash and it's irrelevant, unless someone really was squatting there at some point.

Its a shame they let the house go to ruin. They could have evwn rented it out if they didnt want to live there. Pity they didnt take care of the whole poroperty. A lot of rubbish wasnt good to see. Needs a whole big clean up. Big job.
