I decided to move to Dallas last month. I was looking around on KZbin and came across your videos. I just recently seperated and I wanted a new beginning. I always have been intrigued by Dallas. I chose to either going to New Orleans or Dallas. God pointed me in the right path, I don't know yet what I am supposed to do in Dallas but I know it's awesome. I'm taking a bus from Sc in the Charlotte metro area on 3/28. No money, no job Prospect and no place to live. I will make it, I have a degree with a good work experience. I'm from Nyc in the Bronx and I know how to hustle and survive. Thanks for the inspiration.

Something that's always helped me when I moved to new cities is searching for neighborhood maps. I.e. when I moved to Houston a while back "Houston Neighborhoods Map" Then google each neighborhood and see what people are saying. It's a good way to get the feel for certain areas or whats 'happening in the streets'.

Your right! Great vid -as always, thank you!!! ***research ****research ****research *** I’m from Texas- I visit often. I still did/ doing my research as well. I’m grateful to live with family when I get to Texas until I explore different areas there are several areas to live. Texas is huge every city ( Dallas, Arlington, Ft Worth etc) on average 20 to 45 min apart. If you can take a personal leave from work find a roommate or get an ARB for 30 to 45 Days or an Extended Stay and get a rental for $13 bucks a day and explore every day before your final move. You don’t want to get tied in lease and you work on the other side of town or like B4A states if it doesn’t have the amenities you want or people you meet. I visited seven times in 2017 before final decision . You need a car. 👀 You can get by with out a car if you live downtown and if your lucky and work DT. There is two airports dfw & love-field Few things to know... 1.) Texas does not have state Taxes 2.) cloths are taxed ( I’m currently In MN they are not) 3.) you need 3 different tabs for your car 4.) Tire’s often go bad due to hot pavements 5.) if your car does not have tent it’s something you may want to consider. If any one is from Texas please chime in if I’m wrong about anything. I’m open to suggestions.

bigjack519 Hi, I apologize about the delay. You need inspections to get your tags goes the window then switch your plates then your toll tags(witch is optional) hope that helps. I made it to Dallas, Tx.

Thank you for the time you take to give us what you can. My (veggie lol) husband and I are coming down to scout during spring break. Your videos helped us pull that trigger and buy the plane tickets! So excited!

Hey B4A, I'm here. I got a spot downtown not far from the farmers market too. This place is so dynamic, there's something here for everyone so folks really have to do their own research. I'm always in survival mode so my thing is to always be near a (grocery) store. I'm really, really happy with my neighborhood. But honestly, nothing beats a local when it comes to research. They'll tell you the real-real. If you can find a way to meet and connect with a local before you get here, I highly recommend that. Ask around and tell people what you're doing--someone may know someone who lives/moved where you're going.... Take the time you need on the front end because the last thing you want to do is get here and don't like where you are.

The best thing that you did was introduce us to Deep Ellum!! It was exactly what I was looking for in terms of entertainment and a city feel. Like you said we still need our own research and I knew I preferred Dallas over the Houston area but learning about Deep Ellum helped me pinpoint my area. I booked a AirBnB(which I suggest everyone do to really get the local experience)did a 3 day visit and loved it!! The area is all the way live and reminds me a little of my hometown Chicago. I wanted I different seen than Atlanta where I have been living for the last 10yrs. I liked the medical district which is probably where I’ll be looking for a medical tech job, farmers market was dope, uptown/downtown I could take it or leave it. I turn 29 this month so Deep Ellum fits well with 20s/30s young professionals and has a hipster artistic feel that I love! Thanks for the great suggestions.

Aayush Rayamajhi I have no idea. Other than the fact that there’s plenty of tech companies here I’d assume it’s a great place for that profession.
