I hope it's very clear that I am not sad about being pregnant. Sad about other things. Being pregnant is the best thing in the world. Of course it comes with it's normal difficulties, stretching, growing, changing is all part of it and I'm embracing it it. Emotions are also very high while pregnant. I know a woman that has actually developed pregnancy anxiety and depression. She tried very hard to get pregnant and it has taken her by total surprise that the anxiety and depression has hit her so hard. It just isnt spoken about so often, because women are, however unintentionally, are made to feel that the only thing they are meant to feel in pregnancy, is happy. That should change. Being anxious and depressed does not take away the truth that you are happy to be pregnant and very grateful. More women should share their truth.

I just turned 70 and I can still remember all the joy of being pregnant. My first pregnancy was a girl, the second was 2 boys and my third was another girl. My children have grown into middle age and my husband and I still talk about the wonderful memories we had with them when they were small beings. Time does go by in an instant. Take care of yourself and that wonderful family you have.

I had my baby Doppler for 5 years now. It helped me, with my first pregnancy to have a piece of mind, my sister with both of her pregnancies and now again me with my 2nd pregnancy. These dopplers are so helpful and no, they’re not harmful. Thank God for the person who made it

That is so much fun….I’m 72 and I can honestly still remember the movements and kicks during my pregnancies. I just loved being pregnant. Take good care of yourself and enjoy every minute even when you aren’t feeling well, remind yourself that you are in the process of creating a beautiful human being. They are all miracles. I loved being pregnant! I didn’t have easy pregnancies, but I loved feeling them move, and squirm from those first little flutters to the end when you watch an elbow or knee go across your stomach and it is so tight and they are so big you feel like they are going to break through. It is incredible. I also remember having what my husband called “super Preggy nose” 🤣

Best sound ever. Btw - the sound you were hearing there was over the cord or through the placenta. Make very small adjustments with your wrist to bring in a harsher sound that sounds like the clip clop of horses - that’s the baby’s heartbeat 💗

Ellie you have to try this every time you chop onions…. Wet a tea towel (drying the dishes cloth) wring it out so it’s just damp and put it in a ball next to where your chopping the onions and thank me later 😝😝🤣 total game changer!!

Hi guys! I'm a students midwife. Don't want to ruin the fun and excitement around using the home doppler to hear baby's heart rate. But what you heard was the pulse in the blood vessels rather than baby's heart. Instead of a swooshy sound like that what you're looking for is more distinct beats which is harder to find especially before 28 weeks.

Wet paper towel next to the raw onion while cutting it! It draws to the closest thing that’s wet! Which is your eyes, so having that wet paper towel there draws it to that instead of your eyes!

Re: the onion. I’ve put mine into the microwave for 5-10 seconds and it’s always helped. I also heard from a chef that if you use a dull knife, that’s what causes the juices to spray because it’s tearing into the flesh more then slicing it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ A shaper knife may help.
