Today we are heading an hour out of Bangkok to the infamous Rom Hub Market, better known as the Maeklong Railway. Now some people have dubbed this 'Thailand's most dangerous market due to the fact that the train can get very close to where you're standing but I felt perfectly safe as it took the skin off my nose!
The main reason I'm here today is to show you a 100 year old shophouse restaurant called Gong Meng Chan Ba Mee Kiao ก๋องเมงจั้น บะหมี่เกี๊ยว (บะหมี่ลิ้นชักเก๊ะ) which is selling handmade egg noodles and wontons all for 50 baht a bowl.
Directions to Gong Meng Chan Ba Mee Kiao ก๋องเมงจั้น บะหมี่เกี๊ยว (บะหมี่ลิ้นชักเก๊ะ):

Once you've finished with the Thai food, you'll need a coffee. I recommend Sutha, it's stunning.
Directions to Sutha สุธา คาเฟ่

This is real Thai street food at its finest!

My name’s Gary and I’ve been living in Bangkok for the past five plus years and travelling Thailand for over ten. I’m obsessed with Thai street food and it’s that obsession that led me to start this KZbin channel. I want to share my favourite hidden spots in Bangkok and the rest of Thailand so you can fall in love with authentic, local Thai food as much as I have!
I’ve never understood travelling to a town or city and not eating the local food. How else do you really connect with a place? Let’s get out and explore together and I guarantee you’ll find a whole different side to this wonderful country.
If you love seeing off the beaten path, non-touristy, local life and authentic local life in Bangkok and Thailand then this is the channel for you. If go go bars on the Sukhumvit Road are more your thing (I’m not judging) then maybe not!

when i was in thailand 2 months ago i order a grab but it was by the hour and we paid 1000 baht for 4 hours to travel any where inside of the city of bangkok but there was another option for 1500 baht or 2000 baht for 4 hours any where outside of bangkok and we used that to go to 4 different restaurants that gary visited and the driver just waited for us nearby while we were eating and i would just call him on line to have him come pick us up in front and take us to the next restaurant. so maybe you can try that and don't forget to tip the driver.

Great video Gary! Loved this one! I'm sure this has been suggested before but I'd love to see you duplicating Paddy's 77 province tour but with a more food focus. I realize it's more difficult for you due to the family but you should really consider it 😊 Thanks for the great vid Mate!

Loved this one, That bowl of noodles looked so tasty! In 2001 my buddy and I took a bus to the Damnoen Saduak floating market, had a bite there, hired a longtail to take us toward Samut Sakhon, got off on a log at the end of the Khlong, got in the back of a big truck with bench seats and he took us into Samut Sakhon where we wandered the markets ate some more food and then took the train back into Bangkok. Long day but it was so much fun! I think you might find some good food in Samut Sakhon, it's been over 20 years since I was there but it was great back then and if you like fresh seafood it really shines, the boats bring it right into town just below the Maha Chai rail station to a wholesaler.

It's dangerous because of tourists who try to take a pic or video and they dont keep themselves behind the shelters. They sometimes step on goods when the train comes close.

What is the difference between moo dang and moo yang?
@chakritw

Moo=pork, dang=red, yang=grilled. Moo dang uses that red (char siu) bbq sauce. Moo yang is a generic term for grilled pork.

Samut Songkhram is the smallest province in Thailand. You can rent a homestay to live in the middle of the sea. Or visit Wat Bang Kung, where the trees surround the ordination hall, used to be the location of King Taksin's encampment in battle against the Burmese army. or fireflies and Amphawa Floating Market

I ventured here four years ago and did the selfie thing. Despite not being a foodie aside my Green Egg being currently lit with a prime Picanha on tap. there is outpost nearby with a picturesque village, where I viewed and sampled all treatments related to coconuts. It was a tourist stop one way to Kwai, but a damn good stop. Great thing about not being in Thailand yet, are quality USDA quality beef you can't find in Thailand. I do love noodles.
