One unique thing abut chingjaroi (shomai in poumai) is that these house are exactly the same design as one would see in the Houses of laii village a neighbouring poumai village. Chingjaroi as a whole I believe is a tenyimei village in tangkhul area just like jessami and soraphung. Very unique.

You're right... in olden days Chingchui is a village inhabited by two three tribes namely Tangkhul, poumais, chakhesangs, Angami

Chingjaroi are not tangkhul originally. Of course, there may be some today but majority came to settled after the Chingjaroi massacre by Kuki in 1892. Likely, most of the present inhabitants are migrated Puomai Naga tribe of Senapati District.
