Noice. Would love to see the same kind of tips and tricks for LA-2A and 3A (just had a quick look, don't think you've done them already). Great vid.

That setting on the OH is like magic 🤑 I hear that it pushes back the snare thus pushing the cymbals forward aside from making the cymbals even. I use to use L2 to do this but man, your approach sounds better.

How does the plugin work when placing it in a Stereo bus? Does it sum it all to Mono? Or is it Dual Mono?

Just started using the 1176 on bass mainly I love the blend mix and headroom knobs to manipulate to get the bass a bit more aggressive!!!!
@spinlightstudios Жыл бұрын
Absolutely! You can really get creative when you start playing with those features!

1176 especially blueface on aggressive vocals with all ratio knobs pushed in is so perfectly overdone but it just sounds amazing everytime i do it, the saturation can't be beaten

All buttons is pretty wild! Even blended with the mix knob is pretty tasty when looking for some aggression, can be pretty fun in parallel with drums too!
@BigBadMadden95 Жыл бұрын
Okay so when people are talking about compressors making a sound "aggressive", do they mean that the effect of the compressor is aggressive, or that the effect of the compressor working makes the sound itself aggressive (as in louder/grittier/weightier)? Also Is this a dumb question? 😂
@spinlightstudios Жыл бұрын
Not a dumb question 😉 Pushing a compressor hard like an 1176 and having a fast release can create distortion - which can be a desirable effect, but it also makes all the soft parts of that track louder, or brings out the ambience in the recording and just gives the sound more aggression, more in your face. Whereas a slower release doesnt allow that effect to happen and sounds a little more gluey and thick. That’s my take anyway 😂
