ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of Atari Kobayashi, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. If I can i dont want to have to see even fictional animals endure harm like that but thats just a creative decision made by the filmmakers. I like this movie for taking a childish concept like talking animals, and desaturated it. They’re not hyperactive, or cartoonish. They move like dogs but in a more realistic sense. Also, the voice actors aren’t bouncing all over the place and fucking around. They’re calm, and act like actual adults. Love it.
