Sure would be nice if we could either see what hes written on the board or if there were lecture notes. This is hard to hold in your working memory all at once..

Language does not "represent" reality. Wittgenstein has nothing against classifications. For instance, we can classify certain activities as "games". What he says is that there is no "essence" of games, something common to all of them. They are like members of a family, and carry "family resemblances", but not a common essence.
