I love the painting style of Roos and the speed at which she paint is amazing. Great to see and learn from watching the demo.

Roos has her own amazing style. A master of color.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching her. With simple and well thought out strokes. The beach goers certainly were entertaining, expected a clown juggling next.

She is a seriously great painter, but I am very grateful to be living in Australia where the weather is much kinder! My only problem when painting plein air are flies:))

But what was he doing there? Was he trying to drown himself? And she sounds delusional. And what is with the horses.. where are they come from... Very unusual. Very surreal video. I'm in Twin Peaks now.

John Hoffman . Then a horse and buggy. Never mentioned. Very surreal lol. Must be a British thing.

Have seen this video many times. It was my introduction to Roos, who is an amazingly gifted painter. Would have loved to have seen her painting in real time, not fast speed. Any chance you can give us the unedited real time version.

A mirror. Viewing the painting in reverse can help you see compositional errors

Roos, do you think a plein air landscape is more expression or portraying the exact location.

I paint much bigger paintings outside ,use kidney palette made from cardboard painted white ,sometimes I paint in acrylic then paint over in oils ,I'm more expressive ,use lots of brushes and colour ,and really like to use perspective frame and try to see the form rather than making impression ,I found my paintings are more alive if I am angry .

I have to get a hood that i dont care if i get paint on it. There is no substitute for getting out there and just doing it. We did have about a 500 lb bear in our front yard lasr week in upstate ny. I never really thought about needing protection out there
