Lol I grew up there. Maybe there isn't homeless but there's a huge opioid issue among young people, terrible public transit options to get people out for work or other means of income for homeless people, and strict police. Homeless people always gravitate to the most beautiful and desirable towns and cities and proceed to ruin them for the residents. People won't want to invest or visit Seaside if it looks like it's been turned over to bums. We can stay at home in Portland and Seattle for that. Why not go where you can afford to live more cheaply? You have wheels. If you can't afford the camp fees at the local campground, you shouldn't be camping on the street. I had a bicycle stolen in Seaside a few years ago. I bet it's a lot worse now.

Two reasons. One; when you're living that life and going through agony, if you can't look up from the desperate grind for daily survival and see something better to aspire to, something that helps you dig *deep* within yourself to find that last bit of daily energy you need to push just a lil bit further for some type of better future, all you have is an indescribable despair that infects the soul. And two: defiance of a system that has determined you are a certain way and don't deserve anything good. A system that will do anything to confirm their narrative of you. A system designed to sabotage you, abuse you, fill you with undeserved self loathing, break you, and keep you dependent. When you become the "cautionary tale" that makes others feel superior to you and allows them to cope with working for nonlivable wages in toxic conditions, it kinda makes you want to plant yourself down amongst your "betters" and spit fire into the wind.

Sad to say things are only being done because it's a rich housing neighborhood. If it was any one else they'd just ignore complaints. Now they will likely just shove the homeless onto some one else who can't raise enough of a fuss. The other big issue is of course enforcement. Many places make loitering, littering, etc illegal. But good luck finding a cop that will do anything about a homeless person camping out on your lawn.

Is there any way that two or three new RV Parks could be created and run by the City of Seaside to help homeless who have RVs to become low income space renters while they work at low paying jobs? RV parks usually have water, sewer, electric - hookups; and a laundry building for the whole community to use This might be a way to raise up those with incomes that are to small for them to get into the rentals currently available in Seaside OR... and to get them to a place where they could save up for an apartment in low income housing if such were built in town.

These are the component to create *Homeless Shelter Villages* [HSV] using _Pallet Shelter's_ existing HSV products: the _Community Room_ sells for $37,000, the _Bathroom_ costs $35,000, and the _Services Office_ costs $9,000. So for only $81,000 a city can establish a HSV. The two person _Shelter 64_ costs $7,000. 100 X $7,000 = $700,000. For $781,000 the city can establish a HSV for 200 residents. For $160 million a city can establish 205 HSVs to shelter 41,000 residents. Which will reduce the pressure on affordable housing so that all rents drop 50% across the entire country!

Maybe make a camp ground area for them. Then they have water , power , and a place to use restroom. Get them off the streets and all in one place to help them get services they need. Then parks can be used and the sidewalks open for people to use and people that bring in there money for vacations to keep stores open so they can make money. Just a thought

Who do you propose pay for all that? The property/land, electric/sewer/water services brought in & installed to individual spots, liability insurance, upkeep & maintenance, garbage collection.... Oregon taxes are already #2 in the nation behind NY. Can't ask folks to pony up for homeless people whose presence in the area adds to nuisance, trash, feelings of less general safety and the inevitable lowering of property values.

B of Parts A-F The B!den administration has proposed *Christian, compassionate,* homeless solutions *but Republicans* do not want the FEMA homeless encampments within their cities; which *have the highest number of homeless families.* The solution is FEMA coordinated homeless communities a 30 minute bus ride, 24/7, every 20 minutes, from the FEMA established homeless shelters; to the city. *Established on land made vacant due to global-warming extreme weather events; that no one should rebuild on.*

*Paragraph 2 of 2.* Going forward the Christian way to meet the need to house those made homeless by no fault of their own. Is to live like Native Americans who would pick up and move their entire village to follow the buffalo; or in the year 2024 to avoid runaway-AGW caused home destroying events. This means either building _Pallet Shelter's_ homeless village shelters and component on trailers. Or because they can be put up and taken down in one hour. Taken down and hauled away on trucks to avoid the floods that will be 3 feet higher than they are today. Amen.

*1 of 4* Cities can eliminate homeless tent encampments by replacing them with *Homeless Shelter Villages* [HSV] using _Pallet Shelter's_ existing *Homeless Shelter Village* [HSV] components. The _Community Room_ sells for $37,000 and serves as a shared laundry room, restaurant, *child daycare center,* and addiction services center. The _Bathroom_ cost $35,000 and the _Services Office_ costs $9,000. So for only $81,000 a city can establish a *Homeless Shelter Village* [HSV]. The 10'X10' *Camping Cube Sport Pop Up Tent* that costs only $120 provides protection from the elements; for two people and their belongings.

Really lol the homeless camp they show here looks like Disney compared to here there's a spot downtown called tent city there's at least 100 tents in a lot right downtown and a couple other spots like it around the city each looks like a dump with residents the camp shown here looks a whole lot nicer here city uses bulldozers toake a trail to their camps and dump trucks go in to remove the trash as it can be bad I seen some garbage is 4 feet deep in a opening that's maybe 30 yards around but full of trash it's pathetic

*4 of 4* The homeless can simply move the tents they are using now into the homeless-village and the RVs are assigned a parking space. *Or the **_Shelter 100,_** provided by FEMA,* is a $9,500 shelter that is climate controlled, built in one hour, is 100 sq. ft., and uses a folding bunk system to house up to four beds. *_Pallet Shelter's_* private sleeping cabins offer *security* and durability. Which addresses the concerns of the homeless who reject the restrictions of “bed-only” homeless-shelters; for only one night.
@yourfate2221
@yourfate2221 Жыл бұрын
*2 of 4* Cities are spending millions of dollars to open and run homeless bed shelters; that the homeless reject due to the many restrictions and lack of security. _Pallet Shelter's_ two person _Shelter 64_ cost only $7,000 and provides a dignified, secure sleeping base of operation. So for only $201,000 [$120 tents] a city can establish and run a *Homeless Shelter Village* [HSV] with 1000 shelters that can accommodate 2,000 people: 2 beds and belongings per 10'X10' tent.
