That was awesome 😎. I grew up on that boardwalk in the 80s we were obsessed with Seaside. Beach by day and Cruising the strip, eating sausage sandwiches, cotton candy, playing the games by night. Thank you! Please take me back!!! Everyone was so healthy looking. ❤️

Thank you so much for this video. I operated the scooters and the Himalaya in the late 80s. My grandfather, George Bennett was a carpenter who built a lot of the boards and homes in Seaside. A ballfield was named after him and his name is enshrined on the fire station wall. My mother worked at the first Chatterbox.

You knew that times were changing when they opened a Burger king on the boards...It was right after the old carousel and before the last pier in Seaside park. I mean even in the 80's the food was still good and some is still good today. The two of my favorite places are the MIDWAY Sausage stand and some of the Three Brother Pizza Places. The SAW MILL Is still a good place for a HUGE slice of pizza, It was the only place that survived the fires. The reason was they had opened a upper restaurant and had to install a sprinkler system. At one point they had to close down due to noise or over crowding I cannot remember. Maybe something to do with permits and what the upper floor was supposed to be used for but they used it for privet party's I think that was it...But still a Favorite amongst some of the older folks like myself.

The Midway is the only original place left after all these years. The best sausage and peppers sandwich on the boardwalk.
