I tried to tell him to go hide but I heard the dad ask him who was he talking to and the little boy said "the police, daddy. You were mean to mommy" then I heard a gunshot. The little boy and the mom were found dead. Mom was beaten to death and the 5 year old had a single gunshot to the head. I only got the address because the young boy called from a landline, which gives me the address immediately. I worked for 3 years, I took approximately 95,000 calls in that time period. This is probably one of the most accurate documentaries on this case that I've seen so far, so thank you so much for that. The names and faces of the two female survivors were supposed to remain private, though, as they don't want the attention from it. The eldest has come such a long way in her recovery but she will be emotionally and mentally healing from this for the rest of her life, long after her physical injuries have gone. She and Daniel were absolutely the heroes in this. And this case was the worst one that ever came through the office. I don't know a single one of the prosecutors and/or staff members that weren't affected by this one. The courthouse was a madhouse for both trials. So thankful to BAPD and the whole team at the DA's Office that put Robert and Michael away for the rest of their miserable lives. Rest in peace to all 5 of the victims. The park that replaced the house is so peaceful and beautiful.

I cannot imagine what the surviving sister must go through in her life. I can only hope she is surrounded by a loving supporting family and therapy. To go through what she went through and hearing what her cowardly brothers did to their siblings, is beyond disturbing. Thankfully, the baby sister knew nothing of it and likely doesn't remember the two killers anyway. There was an interview with one of the brothers about a year or two ago, from prison. He said he didn't mind prison because all he wanted was his own room. It was very strange. He told a totally different story than the one in the interview room with the detective. Or maybe it was the other brother, not sure. But I do hope the surviving sisters are living the most amazing lives ever.

Now if she sat on the phone not asking questions then you would say it was messed up they didn't even ask what happened. To be fair, she had no idea what was going on. She didn’t even know he was hiding. She did the best she could with what she could do. She didn’t tell him to speak loudly she just couldn’t understand what he was saying so she kept repeating the questions. She has to have some idea of what’s going on so she can send the right kind of help or it just defaults to one or two cops coming for a wellness check, and it’s usually not rushed.

@@user-lu2tb9nc3x that’s what they do but pinging isn’t an exact science like they show on TV. Phone numbers and names don’t always add up with a persons location either. They would end up sending the police to locations that weren’t correct. That’s why it’s best to get the address from the caller directly ASAP.
@user-lu2tb9nc3x3 жыл бұрын
@@ssharkbait believe me, I get your point. But as a retired medical worker, you just get an instinct. We saved many a life based on the phone calls we got and what we saw directly face to face. Many of the interns rotating through used to tell us to chill out because we were over-reacting but with our insistence, we got those patients to ICU in time to get the critical care they needed. Later we could hear the senior doc telling the interns not to ever discount " our instincts" because many times it was better than scientific data. I'd rather get myself in trouble directing a cop out to a potential emergency or crime scene rather than find out the person had succumbed to some horrible injury. I know the common adage is " opinions are like a----holes, everyone has them" and this was mine. Not intending to be cruel or insensitive. People have good instincts but they ignore them or don't cultivate them. It's a sixth sense, it's what makes your hair prickle when something is amiss, it's that little pushing or nudging sensation that tells you not to do something and you do it anyway to face dire circumstances. If they would enact more severe punishments on those who make prank calls that kind of crap would stop and we wouldn't have to worry if the call was real or not.

That 911 call brave Daniel made [only to get stuck with a stupid operator] with the sickmaking sounds of his murder on it just by itself should have had the vigilantes on the warpath; it's completely beyond any movie to fabricate. These ultra-deranged little lunatics plotted a cross-country killing spree to make the homosexual psycho snipers of 20 years ago look like stank amateurs in comparison, & had the weaponry/ammo to get on with it - that ain't the stuff of You Know (They're) Only Playing, but instead the unleashed urges, age/race/culture/social status be damned, of the most unhinged blood-relative duo compared to the Stovall twins of Colorado. "(They) better pray" that the deliverers of Justice Behind Bars don't put them on the 1-way southbound Hell Express, "someday soon," as a certain old song went, while me & a whole lotta others will be praying the exact opposite. I will give them the abuse they suffered [me & my sisters didn't grow up climbing no crystal stair either], though without a shred of sympathy; but their hellish murderous machinations went FAR beyond just "revenge" on the parents - the other KIDS including the BABY!!! had nothing to do with that, let alone the "hundreds" whose deaths coast to coast they dreamed of causing, so that excuse don't fly either, other than to the Poor Poor Perps crowd that would have the 1 tried as a joovie & both of them able to ooze out of prison 1 day not long enough in the future - so that they "have a chance at a better life & be contributing members of society." [Jeez writing that gave me a serious heartburn attack.] As this superlative contributor detailed the absolute hellish sequence of slaughter, just imagine being in such a situation - at home which is supposed to be the safest place, being set upon & KILLED TO DEATH by revealed monstrosities within your own midst. The all-consuming terror, horrific pain & the totally dread realization that despite their fighting back they are going to DIE at the mitts of their siblings/spawns. [Dizzy spell taking hold.] And being "proud"!!! of what they did just puts the bloody seal on that deal about some lighter sentences [heartburn again], like the taking of so many lives in such a savage fashion - just thinking of that poor little baby being slashed & stabbed about makes me black out - is akin to some sort of "mistake" that can be scrubbed away, shrugged off & (mis)treated like the vats of blood sloshing around in their rotten inwards will someday Fade & Be Forgotten [& "forgiven," which is making me run for some alka-seltzer right now]. Those kinds of viewpoints in their way are as sick as these wretched abominations themselves - okay, so if they had things their way, when these miniature Jason & Freddy would be let out, then those kinds of fools could take them in with open arms, pamper them as such Poor Boys, & then NOT wake up 1 day because they'll be their next victims. "It is the logic of history." No, since they don't get the firing squad, the hanging tree, the guillotine or the stake, they need to stay right where they are until they get carried out feet first in the cheapest pine boxes available - so the worms can get em faster - and ASAMP in the process. May the unjust victims of this indescribable cruelty R.E.I.P., the surviving girls & their dog recover as much as possible to continue on, that beautiful park fashioned from sheerest ugliness flourish ever after, & EVERY possible way these warped inhumans can suffer in prison be theirs until they not-quick-enough die.

From the marriage at 15 to the homeschooling, social segregation of the family, alleged abusive father...there was definitely something going on in that family. It reminds me a bit of the Turpin case, in which all the children were badly abused and never let outside the home. Maybe these kids went through something similar. It is not a good idea to stop young kids socializing with other kids at that age, because it could definitely affect them. It doesn't excuse anything, but might explain why the brothers grew up in a twisted way. It said in some video that Robert was molested while at daycare... Even that alone could have left him permanently scarred. Maybe the parents wanted to protect them too much and then the already traumatized brother started to grow resentment towards the parents. No they didn't complain because they hated him too much to confront him but also because they were so doped up on whatever they could find to numb the memories. My eldest sister followed in his footsteps and was abusive to her children, who in turn, were abusive to each other ( physically, sexually, emotionally). I chose not to have children because I didn't want to perpetuate any of this behavior even though I wouldn't consciously do it. Even though recordings can sound clear in hindsight, when you are an Emergency Medical Dispatcher, listening through headphones to a signal that is split between your phone & the recording device, competing against all the background noise in the OpCen, it can be very hard to actually hear them in person. Especially since the words don’t come with convenient subtitles like you read, and the calltaker doesn’t know the story like you do. Especially if the person speaks quickly, is emotional etc. I know this as an EMD. There are times I have barely been able to hear a caller (& I use headphones on both ears whereas most EMD’s just have single ear ones as we are supposed to be able to hear & communicate with people in the OpCen & potentially on the radio (depending on the OpCen setup)) as well as the phone, with lots of static audible, then have played back the recording & it’s been much clearer. Unfortunately it’s a technology issue plus the reality of working in a noisy environment with multiple people on phones at once.

Ours have never tried an illegal drug, never been involved in sexual activity while growing up, and are great productive adults now. The problem here sounds like total lack of parental involvement with the children having complete freedom on the computer with NO parental supervision. THERE'S YOUR PROBLEM! @@kasulthecasual BTW- all of us are civilians. There is a lengthy course and very rigid training, and 1 out of around 20 people actually make it to become a 911 operator. You should do some research prior to utilizing your keyboard......

There is a difference between a "Woman", and a person. A woman knows, a person is ill will, hence sickening.

Do you recall an operator that seemed to understand the caller straight away? I’m assuming it’s because they start typing information and can’t recall what was said. But jeeze it’s frustrating to listen to!!!

I read somewhere else that they looked up the number, tried to call the father, and only headed to the location after they couldn’t reach him. I sincerely hope that’s no true. It doesn’t matter who is doing the attacking, & it’s obvious the poor caller is scared & trying to be quiet. 🤬

@@BrownEyedGirl1367 ........I can get someone calling, as someone else is also enroute to scene. But, if they just called, waiting for an answer? NO can doo !!

The whispering of help was rough. They can trace your call if you hang-up.

My heart broke when Daniel was on the phone to 911. That poor little boy sounded horrified and confused. I couldn't help but cry. I so hope justice finds his brothers in jail.

Justice won't. JUSTICE would be that kid alive and well and all the other innocents too, and the two brothers stabbed to death or better yet, getting the help they needed. Accountability and retribution are all we've got left. Hopefully those brothers never get out again, because they are a danger to society.
