They sink at a much faster rate so it really does target a reaction bite. I call em the saltwater blade bait because you can yo-yo them back like the video

How do you stop your front hooks from grabbing the leader when you work the 17/18?

2 ways…1. Add a #2 split ring to the line tie. 2. Use true flouro as leader material and tie a small loop knot

Do you keep the bait closer to the surface? I noticed you do t give it much time to sink before working it or does it really sink that fast? If I do that the bait will skip out the water.

18MR’s sink super fast. They’ll sink a foot in less than a half of second so just that little pause it’s falling close to 2’
