This scene proves that The Cosby Show was more than just Bill Cosby's vehicle; every actor was essential to it's success and shouldn't have to suffer and have their legacies tarnished (and incomes lost) by the alleged crimes of Bill Cosby. The show should still be on in re-runs and be available on Netflix etc. There's a difference between Cliff Huxtable and Bill Cosby.

nope cosby show isnt better family matters was the best show ever the 90s wouldnt have been the 90s without family matters if it wasnt for family matters no cosby show it taught lessons like gun violence racism unlike cosby show!

+Jerome Holloman Cosby Show may not have addressed racism in a direct sense but they did have some subtler moments by having an international cast -- Rudy's friends were always from diff cultures, not just black.
@gerawallstar34878 жыл бұрын
+tommyt1971 Thats where the cosby shows Spinoff A different World comes in. A different world has a lot more subject matter. They addressed racism in the "Cats in the Cradle", and "Pride and Prejudice." It was also the first show to talk about "AIDS", and they a fantastic job, talking about it.
@cbanks19808 жыл бұрын
lolol...funny thing is that y'all people actually think bill did that shit, the "higher ups" did a great job of fooling the outsiders to turn against Cosby and did a phenomenonal job of tarnishing his legacy. If people just woke up and knew the behind the scenes crap that those people were cooking to destroy Bill. But that's the way of this world. smmfh
@e.michelle24247 жыл бұрын
Christian Banks I am with you. Think about it: Bill was hardly the most handsome man out there, plus, even though he had a few films, he had nowhere near the success that would have made any of those women crawling to his hotel room. Quaaludes were the Ecstasy of today. Everyone had them and it wasn't a party without it. Had this been any other Black actor I would have believed it. But Bill Cosby? No one messes with a geeky comic unless there is some serious money involved...

I remember this well. A month before The Cosby Show came on, NBC was solidly in third place among the three networks, and family-oriented sitcoms were dead. The pundits all said that The Cosby Show would suffer a quick death. Within a month of its debut, it was #1, and remained near the top for its entire run. NBC quickly became the most watched network on TV as other shows tried family sitcoms (and many of them succeeded too). Saying that this show was big is an understatement; we were waiting for a show like this, and The Cosby Show delivered BIG.
